An Ad for Sears

One thing that most of you probably know is that for most sites on the Internet to receive the funding that they need to keep them going, they have to allow outside atvertising. This is especially true for sites that do not cost any money to join. Well, this site is no exception! When I came upon this page this very morning, the first thing that I saw was an ad for Sears Online. On this ad, there was a picture of a beautiful black lady's dress boot. One thing that I have written about on various pages of this site is my weakness for a female in boots! This started in the eighties when I would watch shows like "Facts of Life" and "Gimme a Break!". Yes, I am old enough to have watched those shows in prime-time! Well, one thing that I never remember seeing is any of the females in "Caroline in the City" in boots! This surprises me for two essential reasons. In the first place, it took place in New York which is a rather harsh climate. On top of this, it was a Yuppie type show and boots were a fashion statment for that generation. Well, I think that either Caroline or Annie would have looked beatiful in a pair like the one shown in the picture! Another show from this generation in which I never saw the women in boots was "Mad About You". Well, I think that Jamie, Fran, Lisa or even Sylvia would have also looked gorgous in an outfit that included the type of boot being advertised! Well, one show from this era in which I did see boots on all three of the regular females as well as some of the supporting actresses was "Friends. Well, I think that this type of boot would have also been great for any of them!
