The case of the married couple, seemed to have a good marriage. One day the neighbors were coming home at night and the husband came up to the car saying he hasn't heard from his wife all day. The man went with his neighbors looking for his wife. He had said she went jogging earlier int he day but never returned. They found her car along a path but never found her. He claimed that he didnt want to leave the house in case she showed up. The police started to look at him because of some evidence found (althought I cant remember what it was) as a suspect but he lawyered up and refused to take a lie detector test. The missing womans family was extremely critical of her husband. I believe this happened in the late 90's, early 2000's. It was one of the last episodes Robert Stack did. Does anyone remember the name of the woman who disappeared or her husband for that matter? I'd like to look it up online but need a name. I've always wondered if it had been solved or if the husband was charged with anything. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

You may be on the right track. I put that name is google and didn't come up with anything. If you remember her last name, let me know. Thanks for the update though.

That's Amy Bechtel. Her husband, Steve, is a suspect in her disappearance. I don't think she's ever been found. You'll find tons of info on this website: http://www.fpcg.net/amy/

I believe the police found some notebooks in his residence and he had written some poems or stories that were voilent towards women or Amy herself. Also some of Amy's friends noticed bruises on Amy's arm and Amy's response to it was that "Steve gets aggressive sometimes" or something along those lines.

I don't think the stuff he wrote in the journal was at ALL threatening. I write dark poems and songs and if I was involved in any sort of murder, they'd find me guilty based off my writings alone. I don't think it's fair to base guilt off of that!
