Are there any West Wing fans here? I'm a newbie to the show. I watched the special episiode dealing with terrorism and the premier epsiode of this season. So far, I'm very impressed by what I've watched. Can anyone recommend a good website where I can catch up on the first couple of seasons?

Blair: Well, how do you like my tree?
Nat: What are bananas doing on a Palm Tree?
Blair: The bird needed something to sit on. Besides, I wanted a splash of color.
Jo: You want color? Shoot the bird!

West Wing is so awesome, especially tonight. Loved it when CJ walked all over that reporter. I watched it off and on last season and then over the summer I really got into it. Tonight was so, so, so good. I've actually started taping it for keeps. I like it because A) I'm a political person so it appeals to that part and B) It's just a very enjoyable program that makes you think and is so well put together. Done heaping praise right now!

That's why I like it,too. It's an incredibly well written show. And the cast is amazing. I hope that it'll win the Emmy for best drama. By the way, the scene of CJ giving that reporter her just deserts was priceless. That reporter deserved it!

Yes, I've watched it from the beginning. I particularly liked it when they brought in Ainsley, the republican. I think it brought a whole new dimension to the show.

I also love The West Wing. The characters are so well developed. There are great touches of humor throughout the show too. It's such a moving show--I've only gotten through a handful without getting teary-eyed. The opening credits alone, with that wonderful theme music, get to me.
This week's episode, with the focus on Leo's alcoholism, was another terrific show. John Spencer speaks candidly of his many years of sobriety in many interviews, so it his performance really came from his heart. The entire cast is perfect.

Hey I'm new to the show, I just started watching in the middle of season 3 so I am far behind. I only watched it in the first place because Stockard Channing is my favorite actress. Anyway, does anyone know of any good West Wing sites with pictures?

I am an ex-West Wing watcher now that Rob Lowe is gone and the writing without Aaron Sokin sucks!!

Aaron Sokrin shouldn't have left...even if Rob Lowe did come back the writing would still be horrible.

I stopped watching the show when Lowe & Sorkin left and because and due to respect for both, I will never watch the show as long as I live!

In an interview a few years ago the real White House-Bush Administration says that the show is only a figment of someone's imagination and makes their jobs look easy when it is very hard and unlike the characters who seem to have a private life, those REAL LIFE staffers put in 18-hours six and even seven days a week schedules and no time for a social life!!

Well yes. I've flipped through C-SPAN sometimes when they show Senate sessions. Man those will kill you! I don't see why they even have them on tv.

Wake up and smell the ca ca, the democrats were thrown out of the white house 3.5 years ago, no wonder the show is a little stale.

The show has nothing to do with real politics. It first aired at the end of 1999 and won several Golden Globes and Emmys for the first 4 seasons....Bush came into office during the 2nd half of the 2nd season.

I am a C-SPAN buff ever since the network came to Charter Communications(the server where I watch from) on September 6th 1993 when I was almost ready to turn 29 on October 3rd!!

I've just recently started watching the news and stuff like that ever since they're started talking about the election a lot. My favorite network is FNC.

I don't see why everyone hates CNN so much. The other day I was watching one of the dem candidates give a speech and someone was holding up a poster with "CNN" written on it and there was a red line crossing it out!

I just don't get it! Maybe it's the news anchors...I like Judy Woodruff but none others.
