I used to like the classic episodes and the new episodes of "The Twilight Zone". I think that they were great because each episode taught you a moral lesson about life by using killer special effects and science fiction stuff. It even tells us what happens to people who learn the hard way, so this show is a great one. Not because of it's unbelievable effects, but because of its ethical lessons that they teach. What do you all think?

I love The Twilight Zone. I swear most of the episodes just left you thinking what a great imagination Rod Serling and the rest of the writers had.

Hottest Men alive:
Dale Midkiff
Anthony Starke
Tim McGraw
Jonathan Crombie

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

Dale Midkiff is my man! :)

Class of 2002! :)

Love it! My favorite is "Mirror Image" from 1960. Just think what would happen if you really did have a doppleganger out there, haunting you. Scary.

-------------------------------------

TZ is my fav show. In general:IMHO: I would say TZ teachs people::
To be decent and generous( Night of the Meek)
To be moral ( Rip Van Winkle Caper--- They were dishonest, and it did not pay in the end)
To appreciate others ( Mind and Matter-- The lead realizes he is better off with other ppl around)
To be yourself and be nice ( Mr Bevis)

Ok, these r just my opinions, but thats what I got from some eps.

What does everyone think the lessons of TZ are???

hey ZZ. been hitting sanford and son, M*A*S*H*, general dramas, and one years wonders.
this does appear to be a decent site. can only improve i think.
lessons from TZ? well, i think anything that can make a person look at their own actions and beliefs can only be good. and TZ did that all over. and those that help fulfill dreams or desires, they can only show us that we should be thankful for what we have. i don't quite remember anyones wishes or dreams coming true ever ending in a good way.
we should all just be thankful and accept what we have. and only strive to change what needs to be changed, and not what we want to change.

BRY, I could not have said it better. We cant change the world, so we should be content on the fact that we r healthy, wealthy of spirits, and wise ;)

Hey Mr Y, could u give some insight on why u love Walking Distance (WD)? I love this ep too. I love the mood , more later :)

Hey I will check out the MASH board, thanx.
Is there a Star Trek board here?

We haven't got one yet. Um, check out the plain drama board. You'll see a thread for requesting boards. Put in your vote for Star Trek and any other drama related show that you'd like to see a board for.

walking distance does touch on something i am truely fascinated with: time travel. he may not have went through some warp in the air but he did reach his past. and what he experienced there did alter his current life. he was able to see his parents for a moment. the man in the drug store, and enjoy the merry go round.
he got to relive some good times that are forever gone. something i will never do.

I like the black and white episodes of "Twilight Zone". I'm not a fan of the show, but they seem to hook you from the beginning and make you want to watch till the end.

I recently finished watching all five seasons of the original Twilight Zone, an excellent anthology series and my new favorite program. Rod was a genious and a very talented writer. I am now gradually making my way through the "new" Twilight Zone (80's revival) and think it is just as great as it's predecessor.

TZ is one of my favorite classic shows. There were few episodes I like. I have two DVD sets and I try to watch the show any time it comes out on Sci-Fi.

Twilight Zone is amazing. Rod Serling was way ahead of his time. To this day, that show still trips me out.

I've been a TZ fan a long time, and am still keeping the faith. The best episodes (taken as a group) not only entertain, but address our deeper concerns, and the hopes and fears of their time and our time. With any luck, they will stand for all time.
