Sad to say, you are wrong. Melrose Place isn't coming back anytime soon darn it! I love Melrose Place it got really good towards the ending. My favorite episode is when Kimberly blew up the building. I will always remember that episode.

I am willing to trade one tape of Melrose Place at a time. I recorded a few seasons of Melrose Place. Since so many people want to trade for this show I can only tape one tape at a time. I recorded it from network FOX in SP Mode. E-mail me for more information.

Melrose Place is now airing on style.

It is a limited station (DirecTV doesn't carry it), but luckily I get it on cable.

TV Guide online COULD be wrong, but it either STARTS Monday, April 14th, or is starting a new rotation.

I have no clue how long it's aired. It will/airs Weeknights at 6:00 p.m./et.

The schedule is very weird. lol. The same episodes air two weeks in a row?

I e-mailed him after I found out (before I posted) but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I hope it's true. TV Guide IS known to be wrong, and it seems odd that the same episodes would air two weeks in a row...

Thanks Pav!

I'm with you Barnabas (it's Chris, right?). I can't wait for the show to come back either. I never did see Seasons 1-2, and only saw a a few eps of Season 3. I didn't have E! when they aired it. I started watching regularly with Season 4.

Pavanbadal, do you know if it will be starting from the beginning or with episode 2?

episode 2 pretty much IS the beginning. the pilot is 90 minutes so it's unlikely that they'll air it.

No you are wrong, the pilot shows Alison getting Billy as a room mate, it IS the beginning Brandon so I know what I am talking about, do you? Anyways it should be shown imo.

This may be a dumb question (lol), but in Pav's post, he said it would air in chronological order as a strip ; in what way does that mean (in bold)?

Sorry it sounds stupid, lol, but I just can't seem to determine it's meaning.

It's not stupid. I was wondering sort of the same thing.

no, don't start getting defensive... i said 'pretty much'. the pilot was shown as a pilot movie. and obviously Style won't be airing it. a lot of channels don't show pilots that are as long as a movie.

FX airs 90210's first episode and it was a 90 minute episode. If I remember correctly E! aired the first episode of Melrose Place. Style probably will, but on the weekends during the two hour airings, maybe and hopefully. :)

They will be airing the show indefinitely for now. They have no immediate plans to take it off the air. Also, they own the whole library and they will be showing them chronologically (in order). There are a couple of exceptions (i.e. they are not showing the pilot episode, etc).

So all the 90 minute episodes Melrose Place made, they won't air them, or just the pilot episode only? Because you have an etc. there and wondered what it mean't. I am glad they are going to keep the show and air it all the time, that is great news. Thank you Pavanbadal :)

I believe all the 90 minute episodes will not be shown. I'll try to find out for sure though.

I know what I'll be watching now starting the 21st. I'm not sure if this was asked, is it starting this month? I'm glad that Melrose Place is coming back, why is it going to be on the Style channel? It just seems like a weird channel for Melrose Place. I hope the Style channel is a permanent channel, sometimes a channel is added as a free offer/preview for a short while, but I really hope it's permanent.

Well I think TVJunkie101 said Style is like a sister network to E!. Also yes it is this month Melrose Place comes on, this Monday. I can't wait to see this show again. :woohoo:

Yeah; I'm pretty sure style. is a sister station to E! which aired the show in reruns for a few years (anyone remember how long?). I never had E! when it was repeated there. So I'm looking forward to seeing it again too. I missed Seasons 1 and 2 completely. Saw only a little bit here and there of Season 3. Watched pretty regular from Seasons 4-7. I've been catching up reading recaps and such to be "ready" lol.

I was lucky I found a few tapes of episodes from the last two seasons, including the original Fox broadcast of the finale. I also found tapes of 90210 from Fox.

I regret not taping a lot of stuff from years ago... anyway, back on topic.

I just hope style. doesn't keep airing the same episodes. The schedule STILL shows the same episodes two weeks in a row. I'll check again, it's been a day or two since I looked. Style's website only lists the current week, and TVGuide and Yahoo are at times wrong with episode listings.

TVJunkie101
04-18-2003, 01:25 PM
Well, I checked the schedule again, through Yahoo, and "new" episodes start the 3rd week (well, that may change considering Yahoo and everyone else is acting as if it aired this week), but they ARE airing episodes 6 and 7 in order. It's production order, and on Fox 7 aired before 6. So it's right. And then eps 8 and 9 will eventually air. So at least they will eventually air "new" episodes. Hopefully Pav can give a better list of episodes when it starts airing again.

Wildchats

there are only 2 "90 minute" episodes.

They both are in season 1...

The Pilot and the Season finale.

Those are really good episodes, especially the finale, in which Amanda buys MP and Kimberly tells Jane it's not over!!!

Kimberly is in the finale of season 1? I thought her character came in season 2. This sucks, I love Kimberly. Her character was so evil. :angryfire

If Kimberly is the female doctor who turned evil, I love her character.
When Melrose Place originally aired
and when her character came back, she
was the reason I tuned in every night,
her character was the best.

Yes that is Kimberly. The red head. She had a tumor in her head I think, is why she was doing all those crazy mean things, like blowing up Melrose Place.

As far as i know MP is going to air for awhile. Too bad the 90 min episodes won't be airing, the season one fianle is one of my favorite episodes ever i love when Kimberly tells Jane "Just so you know it's not over." and Jane goes "If what you say is true then you can have him, he's all yours.. I'm getting a divorce." That was a GREAT scene.

Is thier any chance that the 90 min episodes could be broken down into 1-hour episodes to fit the style schedule? have networks done that type of thing before? i know a lot of times networks will break down sitcom 1-hour episodes too half-hour episodes..

FX takes the 90 minute pilot episode to 90210 and airs it into 2 hours. Style could do that if they wanted to with the 90 minute episodes.

How cool. E! will probably start from the beginning uh? I don't like those episodes, I want to see the later episodes. Like when Kimberly went psycho or when Samantha was kidnapped by her father and they ran over Sydney at her wedding.

Thanks for the info TVJunkie :)

I think E! is starting with episode #2 like style. did.

I've also just read that E! intends to do an E! True Hollywood Story on the show sometime this summer.

It's on E!'s website, but I can't remember the exact location.

E! THS premieres Sunday, June 15 8-10pm:
"Melrose Place"
The '90s sudser Melrose Place, which attracted Gen-X viewers in droves with its sexy characters and outrageous plotlines, is recalled.
Created by Darren Star, who went on to develop Sex and the City, the series hit the airwaves in 1992 and lasted seven seasons. While it rarely finished near the top of the ratings, Melrose did prove to be a hit within the elusive 18-34 demographic. Star, cast members Josie Bissett, Grant Show, Courtney Thorne-Smith and the dry-witted Jack Wagner, and TV Guide's Mary Murphy are among those commenting. Also, Brian Heidik---who appeared in an episode as the pool boy---credits the series for teaching him everything he needed to know...to win Survivor: Thailand.
