My dream Chuck scenario is starting to take shape!
Sources confirm that NBC is close to ordering six additional episodes of Chuck. That’s on top of the 13 eps the network previously ordered, bringing the show’s season 3 total to 19 (just three shy of what’s considered a full season).
The news — first reported by The Wrap’s Joe Adalian — follows my earlier scoop that NBC is considering bringing Chuck back before March.
Woo-hoo!

This made my day! I bet we'll soon see another 3-episode order if the ratings for the premiere are even just OK.

I wish NBC would move it to Wednesdays at 8 though. That's a better time slot than Mondays at 8.

Wednesdays at 8pm are perfect for this show. But, I bet NBC will just screw up again and move it back to Mondays at 8pm, moving Heroes back to 9pm.

Subway hoagie shops might be jammed on Sunday, January 10 -- the official return of NBC's cult fave "Chuck."
Show will air Mondays at 8 p.m. starting Jan. 11 -- after a special two-hour bow on Sunday, Jan. 10 from 9 p.m.
As part of the change, "Heroes" will move to 9 p.m. on Mondays, also starting Jan. 11 (following a special two-hour edition on Jan. 4).
NBC will heavily promote the return of "Chuck" via its two NFL wildcard games (at 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.) on Jan. 9, the Saturday before the show's third season bow.
Peacock has 19 episodes of "Chuck" on deck this season.
The "Chuck" - "Heroes" combo kicks "Trauma" to the curb, yet that show -- which NBC originally said would fold after 13 episodes -- has now been given an extra three-seg pickup.
Peacock is still going forward with plans to take "Trauma" off the air after its tenth episode (Nov. 13). As originally planned, that would have left three segs of "Trauma" in the can.
NBC said it opted to pick up the extra three segs of "Trauma" because it has seen creative improvements and slight ratings upticks. But just as likely, the network wanted a few more segs in order to have six episodes of "Trauma," rather than three, at the ready should it need it. Network has no firm airdate for those remaining "Trauma" episodes.
As for "Chuck," the show narrowly avoided cancellation this spring thanks to a wildly successful "save our show" campaign, centered on fans purchasing foot upon foot of Subway sandwiches.
Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak co-created "Chuck" and exec produce with McG, Allison Adler and Matthew Miller. Warner Bros. TV produces.

I guess we should enjoy what we got...almost a full season pickup. I hate that timeslot though.
