Viewers (make those female and gay men) of the new "Melrose Place" might think the show is a bit light in the male fox department -- especially with the announcement that Colin Egglesfield who plays Auggie the hunky bartender has already been dumped.
Well, the soap has gone out and gotten a literal fox...namely Rick Fox, former Laker turned actor.
Fox joins the cast Oct. 27th in the recurring role of the mysterious bar owner who runs COAL, the show's hot nightspot.
Fox is no stranger to acting. He dabbled while playing for the Lakers (1997-2004), appearing on shows like "Oz" and "Arlis$$" but after hanging up his sneakers, he had recurring roles on "One Tree Hill," as well as "Dirt" and "The Game." He recently appeared in Tyler Perry's "Meet The Browns."
He also appeared opposite ex-wife Vanessa Williams, playing her bodyguard Dwayne, on "Ugly Betty."
