Bought TPDS last week. And there seemed to be no damage to the box or the DVD. But when I went to put in the first DVD my DVD player would not read the disk only after several attempts ejecting of the disk. It finally played... When I tried the disk in my computer and still having the same problems!!. Lastly I plugged up the Phillips and the disk played right away! WTF.... Sorry but I think there might be something wrong with the DVD the other five disks played fine...

Had no problem with mine and I played it in what I call one of my "fussy" DVD players.

If you bought it at a store, I would definatley return it for another one, you don't want to live with a bad disc one forever, I know how annoying and upsetting this can be if it is a show you really want for your collection....mine loaded right away but I only watched "The Birds & Bees" episode from disc one, I did find the audio a bit tinny, more than the usual from a show from that period. good luck......

I watched the first disc, and it played fine for me. Yeah the sound is a bit quite, but I think thats due to the quality of the footage and not the DVD itself. Remember this show is well over 40 years old.
