There have been several cartoons based on popular motion pictures (Ace Ventura) and television shows (Star Trek: TOS) What others would be suitable for animation?

I liked the Star Trek anamated series but it put me to sleep. Personaly I think cartoonizing movies has always been a mistake but hey, thats not what this topic is about.
Shrek might make it as an anamated series as long as they don't change the story.

I liked the 'Bill & Ted' cartoons. I always thought it would've been cool if they'd made a cartoon version of Wayne & Garth but, unfortunately, noone ever did. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

There was a version of The Honeymooners starring animated mice. And I think that "The Hillbilly Bears" is a take on "Beverly Hillbillies"

The first two are close. 1)The Brady Bunch cartoon spinoff was "The Brady Kids. 2)The Partidge Family's spinoff was The Partridge Family in Space, or something like that. As for the Beverly Hills cartoon, it was called "Beverly Hills Teens," and you're right, it had nothing to do with Aaron Spelling's "90210."

The only one that was any good was the Nelvana* cartoon loosely based on Beetlejuice
*Later Nelvana animated Tintin and destroyed Cardcaptor Sakura

Speaking of Jim Carrey movies, there was also "Dumb and Dumber." As for non-Jim Carrey movies(like "The Real Ghostbusters"), there was also "Men In Black," which itself was based on a comic book.

Planet of the Apes(Even though the animation was lacking, I think it's better written than the live action series)
Toxic Crusaders(Toxic Avenger)
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Ewoks, Droids, The Great Heep(animated prime time special), Clone Wars...All from Star Wars.
Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles
The Oddball Couple(Spiffy the Cat- Felix, Fleabag the Dog- Oscar)
I always thought The Goonies and Young Sherlock Holmes could have made for good cartoons.

What I think would've been funny, is if Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter did a surprise guest appearence on Wayne's World back when it was on SNL.
Anyway, I saw a DVD of a movie in a Wal-Mart discount bin that I knew was turned into a cartoon... but I forgot what it was.
