A thread to list DVD purchases you make:
In July, a small batch were purchased as early presents for my birthday in August. They were:
Cheers Season 11
Three's Company Season 2
Wings Season 3
I also bought I Love Lucy Season 1.
Today, I was shopping and bought Frasier Season 8 and Murder, She Wrote Season 7.
I finally got the last set of Dark Shadows. I now own every episode ever made (even that "lost" one). Phew! That took about a year! Now I just need to find the time to watch them all....

i bought man on wire a week ago. its a documentary film about philippe petit who walked across the twin towers of the world trade center on a high wire back in 1974 when they were newly built. not just walked, but layed down, knelt and even jumped up and down on the one inch wide wire. it was very interesting because it wasn't something he decided to do on a whim one day.
he actually planned it for a few years and even went undercover into the towers as they were being built on several occasions, masquerading as a construction worker or french journalist to gain knowledge of the buildings - to see what exactly he would need as far as materials go to carry out his plan and how it would need to be rigged, as well as the habits and procedures of security and other personnel.

The last couple of DVD's I bought were bootlegs (the stuff I wont isnt out).
I bought a DVD of that contained four episodes of the music TV show Shivaree, and another DVD that had performance and TV clips from Michigan artists. The hightlights were recently discovered footage from the Detroit TV show Swingin' Time, featuring a very young Bob Seger, Question Mark & The Mysterians, The Rationals, and Richard & The Young Lions.

Murder, She Wrote Season 8
I wish they would hurry and get the rest of Diagnosis Murder released. They've only released the first three seasons so far. I really hope they will release the rest of the series.

One place I almost never go to is the mall, but today I had to go there for something and I decided to look around in FYE. Lo and behold they are having a DVD sale, so I picked up season 2 and 6 of The Flintstones, for 15 bucks a piece, and I got this great documentary called The Men Who Killed Kennedy for 20.
Now to find time to watch all this stuff.
