Three-time Daytime Emmy winner Sarah Brown, who rejoined "General Hospital" as a different character in January, will be leaving the show in October, reports SoapCentral.com.
The actress relayed the news to her fans via Twitter, saying, "It's been nice being back at GH, but it's time for the character to come to an end, at least for me."
ABC has confirmed her exit from the soap.

Well, her character was always meant to be short-term. I'm surprised she stayed as long as she did.

I'm kind of glad she is leaving. I really don't think she is a great actress.

Yeah, I have to agree. I always liked Tamara Braun much better as Carly. Never saw Jennifer Bransford (Carly #3) and have seen very little of Laura Wright (Carly #4).

I never really cared for Sarah on GH either. I haven't watched in so long, I didn't know that she had come back "as someone else"!!!

Tamara was my favorite Carly. I thought Jennifer Bransford was ok and Laura Wright is doing well. Sarah Brown never developed into a good actress. She tried to do primetime TV on Cold Case ans she wasn't good at all.

I saw a couple of CC episodes that Sarah was in. She wasn't a good fit for that show at all.

I'm not exactly sure why I'm in the minority here, but I love Sarah Brown. She was my favorite Carly, with Tamara close behind. She really deserved the three Emmy's she won.

Nothing wrong with that. Along the same lines, I totally preferred Natalia Livingston's Emily over Amber Tamblyn's. I just found Emily #1 way too whiny and annoying. Then again, that's just my opinion! :D

Yeah, while I do like Amber Tamblyn, she was rather whiny in the role. I've heard that opinion said quite a few times.

I know Amber was young when she started out, but so was Jonathan Jackson as Lucky - HE was never whiny. Speaking of Jonathan Jackson, he was definitely one of the best child actors to grace daytime - if not all of TV. I never really cared for Lucky Spencer after JJ left the show.

I agree with you, HuntingtonM15, about Sarah Brown. She not only originated the role of Carly, but she defined it and set the standard for the actresses that followed her in the role. As for Claudia, she did an amazing job giving life to a character that was so poorly crafted by Guza & company. Re: Amber Tamblyn, she did a great job portraying the teenage version of Emily, but Natalia's adult Emily was wonderful (especially with Tyler Christopher's Nikolas) and all her own. Killing off the character was a foolish mistake, although I'm hoping against hope that Rebecca will eventually be revealed as a brainwashed or amnesiac Emily. This would certainly provide a very soapy complication to the feelings that Nik and Liz are developing for each other.

Now that Jonathan Jackson is returning to the role of Lucky () it will really be interesting to see what happens now. He and RH always had amazing chemistry as Lucky and Liz. Let's hope they still have it!!
