Fox was second, aided by some NFL overrun of its own. Fox aired the belated one-hour series finale of "King of the Hill" and some animated repeats. "King" (6.1 million, 2.9) matched its average last season, which is decent considering the show has been off the air this summer.

The end of that show was a shame... Fox treated it badly. I know it couldnt go on forever and it will live on in rerun but, I would have LOVED to have seen Bobby as an adult!

It lasted 12 years, that is a pretty good run.

The Characters pretty much stayed the same during the entire run. 12 Years is more than enough time to fully explore all of the characters. Only one episode is needed to explore Boomhauer's Character, because you cannot understand anything he saying anyway.
