Peggy Lipton of "Mod Squad" Fame Returns to TV

Peggy Lipton has been tapped for a multiepisode arc on the second season of "Crash."

The "Mod Squad" alumna will play former hippie flower child knockout Suzy Fields, the estranged ex-wife of former record producer Ben Cendars (Dennis Hopper) who is now married to Ben's close friend from years ago, Owen Fields (Keith Carradine), a legendary '60s author.

Lipton replaces Valerie Perrine, who was originally cast as Suzy but had to pull out because of a recent back surgery."

"Crash" returns Sept. 18.

Groovy!!! Every time I hear her name, I think of that hilarious line from Father of the Bride 2 where Diane Keaton tells Steve Martin that she saw Peggy Lipton doing a Geritol ad. Steve Martin's jaw drops and he says "From the Mod Squad?"

No, she was in "Longevity" magazine. That's when Steve Martin says, "From the Mod Squad????" :rofl: In any case, it's great to see her back on TV. :cool:
