I wonder if we are going to get any kind of announcement when (or if) season 4 is going to be released. We are halfway through--hope Shout! doesn't decide to abandon this one now.

I'm glad you started this thread because I'm anxious for season 4 too. There's a rumor going around that it won't be released until sometime next year, but I hope that's not true.

Well I'm hopeful for any kind of news! And if it's next year, so be it--rather have them take their time to do it right, rather than a rush job of edited episodes! :)

That's a good way to think about it. I don't want any edited episodes either.

I just saw the news!!!! I'm very excited for this release. Can't wait 'til March!! :happyface Wow! We only have 2 more seasons left after this one. I wonder what the bonus features on this set will be. Hoepfully, more episodes of "Window on Main St". Would love to see a new interview with Billy Gray but I'm not sure if he was interested in doing them anymore.

HURRAH!!!!!!!! Something to look forward to in 2010 :)

I sure hope we get more Window on Main Street (esp the Christmas episode). I hope that Christmas TV collection that Shout! put out won't be the only place to get it.

Hey my friend Jude,

We usually always agree and have the same opinions, BUT I really don't think Shout would repeat the christmas episode on a regular season set, and I wouldn't want them too....much rather have two more episodes of "window", since we are running out of FKB seasons and it would be wonderful to have the entire "window" series placed over the discs and since the Shout Holiday set is really a nice complilation and cheaply priced, Why not get it? It was a bold move on their part to include an episode of an unknown series along with classic series. So I sincerely believe their is no chance they will release it again on a future FKB season set.

^Why not get it? Because I own most of the other episodes in that set already...

I think they will be robbing us FKB fans who have come to expect seeing these as bonuses.

Besides, have they ever decided how many episodes of Window actually exist?

From many reference sources, this was a full one season CBS series with about 36 episodes done (which the unfortunate fallacy to be competing with FKB primetime reruns!)

I hope we get new episodes of Window On Main St. too. I bought the Merry Sitcom dvd already. Plus, I probably would only watch that episode during the holidays along with other episodes on that compilation.

oh well, if I see the Merry Sitcom at a really good buy, I may get it--just to add the Window episode to my collection.

I have a feeling that if indeed Window ran a full 36 episodes, then of course we will never get the entire series as a bonus on father seasons....SO my guess is there now could be a possibility of an entire "window" series release with the HUGE announcement yesterday of Shout Factory finally listening to all our pleas for a online site for exclusive non-store series, so yes if we only get 10 or so episodes on father, I would buy the entire series on their website, perhaps on that release the two reunion movies could be included!

If Shout! were to offer Window as a web only offering, I'd buy it.

As for the two reunion movies, I have a feeling those will be on Father set # 6.

According to the 2010 TV-on-DVD Predictions on this site, the bonus episodes will be "The Boy Who Got It Made" and "The Haunted House". So looking forward to this set. :)

Shout AFIK, has every intention of releasing all 6 seasons.....

I pre-ordered my set today!

Maybe Shout! can pick up the ball on The Donna Reed Show?

Very much looking forward to this set next week. Only 2 more seasons!!! Hopefully, we will see, at least, one more season this year. I do hope they include the tv movies on Season 6. A nice little bonus feature, if possible, would be the cast reuniting at the Emmys. That would definitely be a nice touch. I think it happened sometime in the 80s, if I'm not mistaken.

Shout, as far as I am concerned, has run circles around any other dvd company. I hope they keep up the good work. We also now have Robert Young's next popular series Marcus Welby, M.D. to look forward to. :)

I give kudos to Shout! for taking chances with more shows that the big companies wouldn't touch or have given up on.

I also think MPI does a good job--they usually commit to releasing an entire series with no second guessing--such as Family Affair and The Doris Day Show and now with Here's Lucy.

^Yes, indeed.........got my shipping notice from Amazon. Although, I wonder why I bother to pre-order from them when it does not get me the DVD any faster than if I would have waited today to order it!
