The 36th Annual Daytime Emmys finished last throughout its two-hour broadcast on The CW, but the Vanessa Williams-hosted festivities gave the network its best Sunday of the season.

It was a pretty decent show, IMO. Just too much non-daytime-related filler (Vanessa Williams singing TWO songs!) and not enough time for the winners. B&B absolutely got no love after they won the big award at the end, which is kinda shameful.

The numbers are low, but for The CW on a Sunday night in late August? They're pretty fricken' sweet.

Did they do a tribute to Guiding Light? They should have.

Yes. Betty White introduced it.

I didn't even realize it was on... such a shame that the Emmy broadcast has been relegated to such a lowly status... :(
