With one of its contestants sought for questioning in a murder investigation, VH1 has postponed plans to air any future episodes of nonscripted series "Megan Wants a Millionaire."
Police are reportedly seeking to question Ryan Jenkins, the husband of model Jasmine Fiore. Fiore was reported missing by Jenkins on Saturday and found dead Tuesday. Jenkins was one of 17 competitors on "Megan," which premiered Aug. 2 with the goal of finding model and reality series vet Megan Hauserman a man who would make her his trophy wife.
Jenkins reportedly married Fiore after he was eliminated from the show.
VH1 had broadcast three episodes of the Sunday night series.
"Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on 'Megan Wants a Millionaire,' an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1," the cabler said in a statement. "The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts go out to the victim's family."
An investigator said Wednesday that police have not had contact with Jenkins since he made the missing persons report.
"At this point, (Jenkins) is merely a person of interest, simply because of the suspiciousness of his disappearance. We can’t find him," Buena Park (Calif.) police Lt. Gary Worrall told the Associated Press.
The website TMZ is also reporting that Jenkins was a contestant on another upcoming VH1 reality show, "I Love Money," which has completed taping its third season but not yet aired. As a result of the investigation, that series could be postponed or shelved as well.

Right now, Ryan Jenkins is the prime suspect, since he has vanished after the body of Jasmine Fiore was found.
Read about what he did to this poor girl
Unbelievable. I hope they catch this psycho.

thats so horrific, that poor woman. hope they fry this guy when they catch him.
however, i hope this incident puts a nail in the coffin (no pun intended) to vh1's trashy reality shows. i think it came back to nip them in the bud finally. they've been glorifying these lowlife losers with their ___ of love shows for too long and its finally caught up with them.
its obvious vh1 does not do criminal background checks, either that or they do not care about who they let on as long as they get ratings. this guy was previously convicted of domestic violence, and this is not the first contestant with a criminal background. i believe buckwild from flavor of love was on probation for some type of assault charge as well as brittanya from rock of love.
Apparently they believe this loser has fled to Canada:

A former reality TV contestant wanted in the brutal murder of his ex-wife has been found dead, the RCMP said Sunday evening, ending an intense manhunt that spanned both sides of the border.
Ryan Jenkins' body was found in a hotel room in Hope, B.C., which is about 100 kilometres northeast of Vancouver. Police say the death is the result of an apparent suicide.
"At this time, the investigation into the circumstances of his death is continuing, but preliminary evidence suggests that he took his own life," said RCMP Sgt. Duncan Pound in Vancouver.
Meanwhile, sources told CTV's Alberta Bureau Chief Janet Dirks that Jenkins, a former real estate developer, hanged himself in his motel room.
Jenkins, 32, had been charged by U.S. authorities with first-degree murder in the death Jasmine Fiore, a 28-year-old former swimsuit model.
Fiore's mutilated body was discovered last weekend stuffed into a suitcase in a Los Angeles-area dumpster.
Investigators on both sides of the border had asked for assistance from the public in their search for Jenkins, who is suspected of strangling Fiore and reporting her missing the evening of Aug. 15, then fleeing.
Police suspected that Jenkins had likely snuck back into his home country by car, boat and on foot.
Police didn't say how long Jenkins' body had been in the motel room. There had also been a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Jenkins and Fiore met in Las Vegas in March and married soon afterwards.
Fiore's mother said her daughter had the marriage annulled, but no court documents have been found to prove that claim. The couple, who had a rocky relationship, had reportedly reconciled recently.
Disturbing details
Fiore's body was discovered in Buena Park, a city about 32 kilometres southeast of Los Angeles. Her teeth and fingers had been removed, apparently in an effort to keep authorities from identifying her.
Investigators used the serial numbers on her breast implants to identify Fiore, said Farrah Emami, a spokesperson for the Orange County district attorney's office.
Fiore was a model who worked in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, working gigs such as being bodypainted at parties.
Jenkins had been a contestant on VH1's recent reality show "Megan Wants a Millionaire," which the network cancelled on Friday.
In Calgary, Jenkins' former fiancee Paulina Chmielecka said she never saw a violent side of him.
"The guy was a great guy, as far as I knew he was very happy," she told CTV. "In our relationship, we had our fights -- everyone does -- but I would never say, 'Well, he could have murdered someone.' There's no way."

At least he won't be able to hurt anyone else and won't be a burden on the taxpayers. Still, what a coward.

I agree, Monika. God is judging him now.
I knew he would off himself rather than be taken alive.
What a coward. Burn in Hell a$$hole.

Not surprising he took the coward's way out rather than have to deal with the penalty of the horrifying crimes he committed...

I heard that too. I don't know if VH-1 officially confirmed anything, yet at this point, but there are rumors going about that he was the winner of the show.
Don't know how true it is but I heard that he asked for his prize money after he killed her which was denied. The winners of these programs are not allowed access to it until after the series aired.

I do wonder if that was true. If it was maybe he was hoping his winnings could provide him the means to escape from justice. Many people are questioning if VH1 does background checks on participants for reality shows. They probably do but it seems like they don't care if people with criminal records are on their shows. Brittayna on Rock of Love and Charm School was allowed be on CS despite ongoing legal issues.

Not to sound rude or anything, but shouldn't someone change the title of the thread?

I agree the title should be changed. An update to this is VH1 recently confirmed I Love Money 3 will not air.
