I haven't seen it either. It had average ratings, and was almost renewed, but ABC replaced it with Diff'rent Strokes, which turned out to be it's last season.

It's pretty bad. I think that what most of us think is that it is bad, because we compare it to the original 3's. I don't like the supporting characters like Vicki, James, and EZ. The show isn't horrible, but don't go on a hunt for episodes.

One of the main problems was that everyone had high expectations with Three's Company being probably the funniest sitcom of the 70's and 80's. If this were an ordinary show, it wouldn't of been too bad. I liked it, not as much as Three's Company of course but I could watch it. In fact, I used to always watch it when it was on WNYW Saturday nights in the late 80's, early 90's(too young to remember which years, sorry)--I believe at 10p or 10:30p. I miss it and am hoping one of these months it will show up on TV Land like it's supposed to!
So, to shorten that a bit, it wasn't as good as Three's Company but then again, not many sitcoms if any are. But it's not the worst show you'd ever see. It's worth taking a look at when it comes on TV again but as Andrew said, it's not worth hunting for.(in most people's opinion anyway)

It suffers when compared to the original, but there were some funny episodes in their own right. There's one where Jack is short on cash and moonlights at a Japanese restaurant, the kind where they chop and prepare the food right in front of you. Jack tries to copy from the chef at the next table, and it's a riot.
They needed to build out the supporting cast a little more, and I think they would have done so had it continued for a second year.

If it had been an ordinary sitcom, people would def. not say it was bad, but fair- Because they wouldn't compare it to "Three's Company". Many sitcoms start out bad. TC was developed with three pilots. The pilot of TAC were the last two episodes of Three's Company.

To me it really wasn't all that.

Take this for what's it worth. It was good for only two reasons. John Ritter and my favorite actor Robert Mandan. I think the episodes where they worked together were much funnier than the ones with Mary Cadorette.
I solely watched the show for Mandan in it.
