I think it was released just this past Tuesday (7/14). I put a hold on it at the library - I'll share my thoughts once I'm done watching it. :D
Just checked on this at deepdiscount.com
Donna Reed Show Season 2 comes out on July 28.
Deep Discount always has free shipping, but through Aug 02 they also have 25% off DVD's & Blue Ray. You can't pre-order DRS Season 2 and get the 25% off now, but on July 28 when it comes out, the promo will still be good.
I am glad I waited on Father Knows Best Season 3 and Petticoat Junction Season 2. I plan on picking those up, as well as The Lucy Show Season 1 and Donna Reed Season 2, all at the same time.

Check your facebook email. If you are getting free DVD's from surveys, I want in on this action. I'm too poor to go out and buy all of these shows.

I hope they don't take too long to release these seasons. It took about 9 months to get Season 2!

Exactly. I loved Season 1 - it was fun seeing Shelley in her first major role (I grew up with her on Coach). I can't wait to watch S2!! :D

That's odd! I received an email from deepdiscount.com this morning (7-23) stating my season 2 dvd set had been shipped. I pre-ordered several months ago. I'll let you know when I get it. The estimated arrival date is 8-01-09 to 8-06-09.

I got an email from Deep Discount saying it had shipped also. I guess it's a wait and see now. I wouldn't get my hopes up about anymore than 3 seasons being made anyway since that seems to be the way most of the shows have been. :(

It's the opposite for me because TDRS was on quite a bit before my time. But I loved Shelley on Coach - and was totally shocked to learn that she'd sung "Johnny Angel". :D

You had no idea she sanged "Johnny Angel" :D I think she was 17 when she made that record and it went all the way up to number one in 1962.

I was a kid when I first found out she'd sung "Johnny Angel". I grew up listening to oldies stations, and watching Coach, but never knew the connection. I've known for years now that she sang it.

I think some more of Shelley's songs are available on iTunes. I'll have to check them out one of these days.

I have heard his hits.
Petersen was later signed by Motown where he did "Chained" (before Marvin Gaye), and " A Little Bit For Sandy". That tune was a major hit in Australia of all places.
Anyhow here is "A Little Bit For Sandy" I find it a catchy tune myself

My Amazon order came today for Season 2!!!! Ugly cheap hard casing but it's kind of nice to have a picture dvd disc of each of the Stone family. I like the season 1 packaging better.

Yeah I liked the season 1 packaging better too.
But anyways I been enjoying the season 2 set. The episode "Sleep No More.My Lady" Made me laugh so hard.Donna reminded me of Lucy in the "I Love Lucy" episode "Staten Island Ferry" when Lucy took to mutch sea sick pills.
I also felt sorry for Alex in the episode "The First Child" Poor Alex could not get any sleep or spend any time with his family. Gush do pediatrician's realy have costumers like that? That would drive me crazy.
Well anyways glad that I got the set.It is a wonderful show.Hopefully we dont have to wait to long for season 3.

I thought it was a different logo for the company. I don't know if that's a good sign or not. It could be the iorst season wasn't very profitable and it was sold. I sure hope they keep making all the seasons who ever has the rights.

Hey I just finished disc 1 of The Donna Reed Show and I was sadden to see one of the episodes on disc one is a syndicated version. The episode "Flowers for the Teacher" Yeah the episode only runs about 22 min while all the other episodes on the disc run 24-25 minutes. I could tell while watching it was a syndication episode as it was doing the same thing as the edited episodes on The Father Knows Best season 1 DVD set as every 3 or so minutes the show would cut to black like it was going to a commercial. I wonder how many more syndication episodes are in this set? And no there is no label on the case telling you the set contains edited episodes either.Well none that I can see anyways?
Well anyways I will be starting disc 2 soon and hopefully there is no more edited episodes in the set? My guess the orginal uncut version of the episode "Flowers for The Teacher" was in poor shape,so Virgil stuck the syndicated version in its place? But it would of been nice of Virgil films to put a message on the case telling costumers "The set contains edited episodes"?

I just finished Disc 1 too. I was shocked to see the teacher episode edited.
They really butchered that one up. Even the end credit look a little warped.
