Internet Sensation Susan Boyle to Appear on "Ugly Betty"

If sources are to be believed, Britian’s Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle is set to join the cast of hit series Ugly Betty.



According to reports, the Scottish virgin, 48, has been offered a cameo in the C4 comedy.



US telly bosses believe that the singer would be perfect for the show which follows the troubles of hairy-eyebrowed wannabe, Betty (played by America Ferrera), reports The Sun.



A source close to the star said: "Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen.



"She will definitely play herself."



If Susan accepts the role she will be following stars including Victoria Beckham and Naomi Campbell.

Ugly Betty TV bosses have shot down reports British singing sensation Susan Boyle will be making a guest appearance on the hit show.

Boyle shot to international fame after appearing on U.K. TV programme Britain's Got Talent, counting the likes of Demi Moore among her fans.

She was alleged to be taking to the small screen to play herself in an upcoming episode of Ugly Betty, with a source saying: "Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen."

But a representative for ABC, the network behind the sitcom about a fictional fashion magazine, insists there is no truth to the claims, reports Usmagazine.com.
