I was beyond touched when I got one, but you guys are right. These appreciation threads are out of control! I would be happy with one on an anniversary or something but not really "just because". Nothing wrong with that either, but man! There are hundreds of members on this board, and giving every one of them an appreciation thread would take forever! I agree that there should be a section for recognizing anniversaries, birthdays and for appreciation! The only thing I can think of for the "onslaught" is that people were feeling left out and wanted to feel appreciated!

Yes there are quite a few appreciation threads here but that shows we have some caring people here. Also I have to admit I was thrilled when I got my own appreciation thread.

Me either. Especially when so many people are left out, myself included. I think they're unnecessary. If you want to appreciate someone, PM them. Nobody on this board deserves one over anyone else. I don't like singling people out. I don't participate in them because I don't appreciate all of you, but because I don't find them to be fair or appropriate.

I agree. I never got one either. It seems like a 'click' type of thing. If your in the click and your liked by a certain group of people you will get one otherwise. Your left out. Seems kinda lame.
