I remember seeing 2 cases in paticular, one was the Bentwater UFO case that happened on December 29th, 1980, with those army guys that saw a big lighted up space ship and the Betty Cash/Vicky Landrum UFO encounter that happened on the SAME DAY. December 29th, 1980. Who also saw this lighted up object. Both within close range.
Aside from that, I learned that Betty Cash died on December 29th, 1998. Exactly 18 years after the encounter.
I don't remember too much about these cases, but I found them both very, very strange how it happened the same day (maybe around the same time, too).

I have always thought there was some kind of correlation between these two UFO incidents since I learned they occured within hours of each other. I think they might have both been some kind of military craft, but from a foreign country like the Soviet Union, meant as some kind of spycraft. I think the Bentwaters UFO was a Soviet craft and the second night of the same incident was some kind of probes giving off bright beams of light which were apart of the craft seen on the first night.
I think the Cash Landrum UFO was a spycraft that was either from our own country or the Soviets and was a test done. If it were a US craft, then there is no reason why the Air Force would not lie about conducting operations to test it. If it were a US craft but not from the Air Force, maybe the helicopters were from another branch of the military like the Navy or Marines. But if it were a Soviet craft, then maybe the helicopters seen were dispatched to investigate if the craft showed up on radar, which would account for why the Air Force has no record of operations being done, just aircraft flying over the area.
I saw the UFO Hunters episodes which covered these two incidents and they both suggested they were somehow connected. Today, Colbie Landrum is healthy and well as if the incident didn't happen, and his grandmother passed away like 9 years after Betty.

Certainlly the Cash/Landrum case is the more interesting due to the physical effects, my thoughts have long been it was a secret project by the US Military & sadly they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Bentwaters case is now like many other famous cases, among our serious British Ufologists pretty much regarded to be highly suspect, even the actual date of it has never been agreed on by all the parties involved & seems to have been something of a wild imagination/embellishment on the part of many of those involved, it was most likely another military exercise that those there were not aware of.
