I think that is hilarious!!! People are so friggin' uptight. My dad used to call him Spongebob Squareass. I think it's appropriate now that I just saids that.

I saw this commercial the othr night, and right away I said: oh boy, here comes the unnecessary controversy. People just need to lighten up. If parents are so offended by their kids seeing this ad, then they should probably take them out of school, since you see and hear 100 times worse things there. People just need to relax.

i'm not a prude or whistleblower, but i do think it is inappropriate for the age group who they're marketing to. the sexual overtones and the exploitation of womens body parts sends the wrong message and is degrading. i don't think this was well thought out.

isn't that the kind of thing that children's humor revolves around anyway?

i don't have a bk near me but i've never been a fan of them anyway. their burgers always taste burnt to me. i love their cheesy tots though and some of their breakfast menu is good - i like the croissant sandwich (haven't had one of those in years) and they have mini breakfast sanwiches that look good.

when my husband goes fishing he'll stop at the bk near where he fishes and pick me up cheesy tator tots.

**** people are dumb. I think they have too much time on their hands so they find these different things to be "offensive" or "bad for children". Shut the **** up and take up a hobby.

I agree, but be careful, we'll be accused of having no life because we have an opinion.

I guess I'm offended from this too; I'm offended because they had to use this stupid song of all things and try to make it popular again.

when you think about it, the product they are promoting is a kids meal (their target consumer audience is ranging from maybe a 4 year -12 year old) a kid that age is not old enough to remember the original sir-mix-alot music video made in the early 90's so the humor would be lost on them. gievn that fact, it is blatantly obvious what bk's agenda is.

 Yeah, it is one of the stupidest songs ever created. lol!! Can you believe Sir Mix Alot actually won a Grammy for the song back in 1992, or 1993?? Shows how bad some people's taste in music was back then!!

I personally prefer McDonald's to BK. I rarely eat fast food however, but I love McDonald's fries. I eat fast food maybe once a month if that.

BK could just go away.

I actually prefer Burger King's hamburgers, but don't care for their fries. Their Angry whopper is awesome, and is one of the best burgers I've ever had!! I also usually only have fast food about once per month, and when I do, I just go get a burger at burger king, and since Mcdonald's is right next to them, I get my fries there, so it works out perfectly.

i just want to clarify that i'm not offended by the commercial for the reasons you state (not that your post was directed at me solely).

if this was a commercial directed toward adults i'd be more accepting, but the item they are advertising is made for KIDS, its a KID product therefore the content of the ad should adhere to guidelines that are suitable for children in the age range the item is made for. and i don't think scantilyclad women shaking their bootys suggestively is appropriate for the age group they are trying to attract.

to sum it up, this is not a case of puritanical people policing adult/mature media for the sake of being pc. this is an ad made for kids directed toward kids and to me the publics disapproval is justifiable.

I like BK's whopper but I hate their fries as well as their fish sandwich. McDonald's, to me, makes better fries and fish sandwiches.

I remember the last time I went to Disney World back in 2003, the theme park Animal Kingdom had a wagon where they only sold McDonald's french fries. I bought TONS from there all the time when I passed by it.

I haven't been there in a while so I don't know if Disney still has the french fry wagons.

I actually agree with you now that you put it that way. I hadn't even read your comment before I posted what I said, I was just pissed when I read the title of the post because I am initially fed up with people always being offended by everything- especially parents.
