are you "in the zone"?

who are you rooting for in the superbowl? (I don't really care about football, this question is more to put you at ease and get you to open up)

at this point in the examination, I feel the need to warn you that spelling does indeed count.

can you account for your whereabouts on the night of Friday, March 13th?

does that McDonald's "Give Me Back My Filet-O-Fish" singing fish commercial actually make you crave a Filet-O-Fish, or does it make you want to jam a meat thermometer in your ear?

if you could pick any member of The Beatles, which one would you choose to host a cooking show, and why?

what makes your lips quiver like a wounded trout?

Melvin Goldfarb, or Dwight Smidlack?

#1. Country music pre 1980 although I do like some artists from later years. 1980's rock and pop, Heavy Metal, Southern Gospel, R&B, Rockabilly, Garage etc...

#2. Yes, I enjoy a lot of shows that are pre-1970

#3. This is tough, Both have songs that I could listen to all day long and they have songs that make me want to pull my hair out when I hear them. Right now I'd give a slight edge to the Beatles.

#6. Reading about a child being hurt or worse

#7. Never heard of either one but I'll say Goldfarb.

What is your favorite song, duet, band, and solo artist?
I'm partial to classic country & 80's pops/rock but I enjoy other types of music as well. Favorites include Conway Twitty, Gene Watson, Johnny Cash, The Statler Brothers, Bob Seger, ELO, Mike Oldfield, etc... My favorite song is probably "Fifteen Years Ago" by Conway.
Tell us about your pets. Names, types, ages, anything you want to share.
Prior to Thursday, I had 7 cats but now it's 11. :) My oldest and only indoor cat is 17. He's a tuxedo cat and his name is Rowdy. The next oldest is Gypsy, I think she was abandoned because I found her sitting in front of my mailbox one day when I went to check the mail. I thought she would run when I got closer but she followed me back to the house and has been here now for nearly three years. I have no idea how old she is but would guess at least 5 years. The other's are named Glinda, Grady Ginger, Gumdrop and Gidget who had four this past Thursday. I also have a cocker spaniel named Lady.

Do you like to talk on the phone? What's the longest phone conversation you've ever had? Do you have a cell phone?
I like talking on the phone and my longest conversation was 7 hours. I have a cell phone but don't use it much

Do you like getting mail? What's your favorite kind of mail? Cards, checks, catalogs, letters, etc.
I used to love getting mail, For years I played contests on radio and tv and the mailman was always bring stuff but I don't play much anymore and when I do win it's mostly from our local radio station and I have to pick up my prizes
What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?
Friday the 13th (first part) I haven't seen the others
What's your favorite Christmas memory?
Getting the original Nintendo system in 1985 is one but I get more joy out of giving than receiving.
How did you learn to type, and do you know how many WPM you type?
I can't type all that well but what little I can do is self-taught. I have no idea how many WPMs I can type

What were the best and worst parts of school?
School was hell-on-Earth for me but the worst part was being bullied and being put in the special education group because some of my Teachers felt that I was a slow learner. This happened while I was in Jr. High and those of us that were in the group were ridiculed and called retards constantly. This is one reason why I despise seeing that word or any variation of it.
Who do you know who has the strongest accent?
My cousin from Flint, Michigan
What's your favorite kind of popcorn?
I love it all but I think that popcorn that has been slightly scorched has an unique flavor to it. I'm actually not supposed to eat it and only a very small portion at a time when I do.
How many hours of sleep does it take for you to feel fully refreshed?
At least six
What's your favorite tv character, tv couple and all-time favorite tv episode?
Character is Colonel Steve Austin from The Six Million Dollar Man, Tv couple is John and Olivia Walton and all-time favorite tv episode is "Five Characters in Search of an Exit" from the original Twilight Zone.

what do you do in your sparetime?

Sleep and lurk around the SO boards

if you could go back in time, which decade would you want to visit and why?

The 1930's, My great-grandfather had an opportunity to purchase an extremely large piece of land for $500 but was afraid to risk that much money because of the depression. It was eventually developed and became one of the prime pieces of real estate in the county and is now home to several hundred houses, businesses, a school, etc... I often wonder how much different our lives would've been if he had took that gamble so I would go back to that period and try to convince him to buy it.

in terms of food, are you more of a sweet or savory person?

Sweet

what was your least favourite subject at school and why?

I hated most all subjects and school in general but math was definitely the worst for me. The teachers didn't help matters either

have you ever travelled outside the US of A and if so where did you visit?

Only once and that was a trip to Canada in 1978

do you have a favourite sneaker brand and if so, is it nike, puma, adidas or reebok?

Of the name brand sneakers on the market today, I'd have to say that my favorite is one not on your list and that's Converse.

Where did you get your unbelieveable sense of humor? Even better - where can I get it from?

I have no idea, I can't think of anyone in my family I could've gotten it from. I was one of the class clowns so I guess it just developed from there. I wish I could tell you where you could get it from but I do believe that everyone has a sense of humour within them somewhere.
