Former "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee will make her acting TV debut in an April episode of CBS' crime drama "CSI: NY," in which she will play a singer.
The singer-actress' first appearance on a scripted primetime series was in 2007, when she played herself on an episode of ABC's "Ugly Betty."
On the big screen, McPhee appeared in "The House Bunny" and recently signed on to star opposite "Brothers & Sisters'" Dave Annable in the romantic comedy "Wedlocked."
She is repped by CAA and Untitled.
