I was really glad to see an update on this story when it aired today on Spike. For those of you who don't remember it, it was the story of a family from California (originally from the Philippines) who had several family members die from an unknown heart problem. The update said several callers called in and suggested it could be "Brugada Syndrome". Tests confirmed this. One of the surviving brothers has been fitted with some type of device to help with this and some others have been treated with medication. No other family members have died since the original UM broadcast.

Good to know! Thanks for the link. I've thought about that family over the years and wondered whether or not that heart disease might have claimed another victim. Glad to know there have been no more deaths since the broadcast.

Thanks for the update, CD!
Nice to know they have finally gotten some help. Too bad it is so many years late. That poor family. I can't imagine walking around all day knowing that your heart is a ticking time bomb. Ugh.
Nice to see some happy news for them. :)

I think I remember this case.
Didn't one of them die at a party while he was still young?
