I sold a necklace on ebay - it was a Jackie Kennedy simulated three strand pearl necklace that retails for $100 on QVC, a fact which I mentioned in the listing. However, despite revealing the necklaces retail price people still bid higher and finally the auction ended for $200. So I sent the invoice and the woman wrote back and said "Well, I didn't realize you don't ship internationally so please cancel my bid and offer it to the next highest bidder."
So I wrote back and told her I'd make an exception and she responds saying "Well I've had bad luck buying from overseas and please cancel my bid" At this point I wrote back and said I was going to file an unpaid item strike on her and she has the nerve to write back and say that she's going to leave me negative feedback in return, out of spite. So, undeterred, I reported her to ebay and in the meantime she has bought 2 more items from ebay which she paid for immediately and both were from the states...unbelievable! Here I did nothing wrong as the seller, I listed my item accurately, I have 100% positive feedback and a 5 star seller rating and this woman is trying to tarnish my good name with her malicious feedback!

If you specified no international shipping then I don't see how she was able to bid. I thought eBay blocked international buyers from placing bids on auctions that specified United States shipping only. I know at one time they did because a buyer contacted me and begged me to let him bid on item even though my settings were set to no international shipping. In spite of all this, Her bid is legal and binding and she's obligated to pay you. The only bad thing about all this is that you will probably end up with undeserved negative feedback and since the buyer can only receive positive feedback, There goes your chance to retaliate.

You can comment back on the Negative feedback at least. In the mean time offer the necklace to the next highest bidder.
