My brother is bringing his girlfriend, my sister is bringing her fiance, and then there's my parents.

All I have is an invisible girl. Looks like I'll never get married on 11-11-11.

I might as well eat by myself in the kitchen today. I also hate being the odd-man-out in my family. :(

I actually don't mind being single, it's the having no life that sucks. I'm hoping to change it this year.

I don't mind being single either. I'm not sad about it. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't. That's how I look at it, anyway. :D

I've been single pretty much my whole life. Sure, I long for companionship, but I'm starting to realize and maybe even accept the fact that I'm single and will probably stay that way unless something changes.

I actually prefer being single; being in a relationship can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

I'm single; and have been my entire life (I'm 51) and I don't mind. Like Lauren says; sure I'd like to have a relationship with someone, but I'm starting to accept the fact that it may not happen. But, you never know, I know this couple and she's 69, he's 71; they just got married 2 years ago; and they're both as exicted and happy still; you'd think they were in their 20s.

So if it happens it happens, and if it doesn't it doesn't.

I'm only getting used to being single again. A few months ago I just ended a year and a half long relationship and prior to that I was in an almost two year relationship. They were one right after the other, only three weeks separated them haha. And right now I do mostly think being single sucks, but hey I'm learning how it works again. It has its moments.

I'm also single and 46, so you're not alone here. I don't mind being single the only thing that gets on my nerves is feeling like the 3rd wheel when I'm with married friends when we go out and do something. I recently met someone but, I'm not sure if I want to pursue a relationship or just be friends and see if anything developes. I'm set in my ways, LOL.

i'm 27- slowly turning 28 next month- and still single, but i am not fussed about it. it's not like i am looking for a long term relationship with a guy- for now. i just want to enjoy doing the things i do on my own. but of course i could always have the odd crush here and then, though it's not serious.

Im 34 and have been single for over three years now.

There are things about being single I like and I dont like.

I like having a place to myself at times where I can listen to music as loud as I want(and the kind of music I want). I can watch whatever I want on television. I can drink milk right out of the carton(hey I'm a guy LOL). Sometimes I like to sleep alone.

I do miss the companionship of being with someone even if its just hanging around the house. Most of my friends are either in relationships or are married and sometimes I feel like the odd man out. I miss having someone that cares and loves you.

Also I have to admit sometimes I dont feel like I am the safest best because its a good possibility I may not have a job soon.

Whatever happens in the relationship department with me will happen. I say let the chips fall where they may.
