When do Everybody Hates Chris and The Nanny official join the line-up? And if you had to guess Pav, where would they get placed?

I still can't believe NAN picked up Everybody Hates Chris. If I had to guess, I'd say either 8:30 or 9pm. For The Nanny, mmy guess would be 9pm or midnight.

Since it isn't airing anywhere, I'm looking forward to The Nanny coming. I just hope it isn't any later than 1am - I think it'll get maybe a half hour in primetime, though, probably 9pm or 9:30, at least for a month or so.

I think The Nanny will be on at maybe 10:00pm or 11:00pm for a week or so, then they will shove it to the graveyard shift, never to be mentioned in promos or anything again.

I agree. I think Nick@Nite is going the way of the Disney channel - trying to be as "hip" with their programming as they can be. The sad thing, IMO, is that it's working. George Lopez has done well for the network. And we all know The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air worked wonders for them for years. So I can't really say I'm surprised that they picked up Everybody Hates Chris. I think if The Nanny is paired with Home Improvement it will have a 50/50 chance of doing alright. It might be a moderate hit. But at this point, I don't know if that will happen.

Honestly, Home Improvement is doing the worst of the 3 primetime shows. But, I doubt NAN would remove it from primetime altogether - NAN will like you said probably air it at 9:30 and see how it does. If it doesn't do better than HI, it'll be shoved to 3am

Oh, yeah, I know Home Improvement is doing the worst in primetime, but I think The Nanny will have a better chance being paired with that than George Lopez or The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I think it might be able to get some leftover viewers from Home Improvement because I'm sure both shows share a lot of the same fans, especially considering that they were both hit shows during the same era of television. The Nanny can also be paired with Family Matters, but I don't know how well that combination will work out.

Yeah, The Nanny will definitely work best with Home Improvement. And, I doubt Nick at Nite would remove a half hour of George Lopez or Family Matters from primetime, considering how well they're doing. And you never know - The Nanny could be a hit for NAN.

I really don't see how The Nanny could possibly get more viewers than Home Improvement. HI is, far and beyond, the better show. I've only seen The Nanny a few times, but I don't think it's so great that it could be better than a classic like HI.

Can't believe after having such a good 2006-2008, N@N goes and does something weird and picks up Everybody Hates Chris.

Horrble Pickup

Yes with the addtion of the cosby show, family matters, home improvement, george lopez, fresh prince, I will say they have had a good past two years.

But now they are going backwards with the pickup of EHC

Totally agree. Although I'm not a fan of HI, it's still a somewhat quality show. If this channel ever picked up Boy Meets world, it'd be a dream come true!

I feel that Chris will be a breakout hit in syndication. IDK why, but I see it getting the 9pm hour. Or at least 8:30-9:30. I think N@N's best move would be to stop back-to-back airings if they want to expand. I'd have the fall 09 schedule looking like so;

9:00 Everybody Hates Chris
9:30 Family Matters
10:00 George Lopez
10:30 The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
11:00 Roseanne
11:30 The Nanny

and then do repeats from 12-3 and 3-6.

I def. think Roseanne and 'Nanny' would make the best pair.

They want ratings, not to expand though. Double airings have worked very well for them. I don't think you'll see 10pm-12am changed at all.

Nick@Nite got The Cosby Show in 2002, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 2004....

As for 2006-2008, I think Family Matters has been the best addition the network has had since 2003 - when they aquired Roseanne and Full House. George Lopez is ok. I will admit I wasn't sure if it would work on Nick@Nite, but it obviously has.

My idea for N@N's schedule when new shows start:

April 2009
9-10pm Home Improvement
10-11pm George Lopez
11pm-12am Family Matters
12-1am The Nanny
1-2am George Lopez
2-3am Home Improvement
3-5am Fresh Prince
5am Roseanne
5:30am The Nanny
6am Full House

Fall 2009
9pm Everybody Hates Chris
9:30pm Home Improvement
10-11pm George Lopez
11pm-12am Family Matters
12am Everybody Hates Chris
12:30am Home Improvement
1-2am George Lopez
2-3am The Nanny
3-4am Home Improvement
4-6am Fresh Prince
6am Full House

Nick at Nite and Adult Swim (kings of late night cable) both seem like they're just circling the drain these days. Why does late night and early morning cable/satellite television suck so much now?

i may give the Nanny a sample because when it made it's debut in 1993 I was starting my freshman year in college and never had the time to watch TV

I've become a semi-fan of George Lopez. I'll watch it when nothing else is on. But, I have to agree - and this goes for any show. Nick at Nite has to stop these week long marathons. I don't care what show it is - no show should be airing all night long, for an entire week. It gets boring after night 2.

I can't really say what'll happen when Chris comes next fall, but when The Nanny comes, I do agree with ryan, that The Nanny would go best with Roseanne. That's why I think it'll be a hit with Roseanne in latenight when it comes on. But, I doubt Nick at Nite would pull Roseanne back up to primetime just to give The Nanny a shot. Roseanne's primetime days on NAN are long gone, unfortunately.

What they should do is maybe try it at 9:30 with Home Improvement, and then air it at midnight with Roseanne. Or, they could just move HI to midnight for the hour, and put The Nanny on at 9pm for the hour. G.Lo and FM are doing great 10pm-mid, so there's no need to mess with that. But I think The Nanny does have a chance of doing better than HI at 9pm.
