The creator of Baywatch is looking for the next Pamela Anderson to star in a new version of the series based in New Zealand. The pilot episode, which will star local actors, has yet to be titled - but production is on the hunt for the next Baywatch babe, according to the New York Post.
Producer Walter Brown - who is partnering with creator Greg Bonnan on the series - tells the New York Post, "Baywatch had all the elements to be extraordinarily successful in its day. Of course every producer hopes for that kind of success and, personally, I think New Zealand has the magic to do it."
Anderson became a international sex symbol after landing the role of lifeguard C. J. Parker in the 1990s series.
