View Full Version : Name a Kiss My A$$ product!

This thread is a tribute to Janice's kick ass product thread, only instead of mentioning products you love, you name products you've tried that you absolutely hated for one reason or another. I want to give credit where credit is due, I also got the idea for this thread from Janice Johnson's thread about things she didn't like, so thank you Janice Johnson for inspiring this thread! :)

My first kiss my a$$ product is generic sliced cheese that isn't Kraft. I haven't tried every kind, so I can't put them all down, but of the ones I have tried, they've tasted like crap, and felt like I was chewing on cud or something. :barf: Generic sliced cheese can definitely kiss my a$$!!! :mooner:

P.S. to Janice, I hope me using this thread title doesn't upset you. Please know that I did it as a tribute to your thread, and just thought it might be kind of funny to get an opposite view of various products. :)

Their pizza was nothing but a mound of crust with very little toppings. I haven't tried their thin crust or brick oven pizza so maybe they'll be better than this garbage. I purchased a similar pizza that was a store brand and it put Freschetta to shame.

To me, what really sucks is any off-brand (or generic) cola (especially those marketed under grocery store names). Most of them taste like tin, and some are barely drinkable at all!

I agree, they have a stale taste to me.

I hate Torinos Pizza, they have no taste what so ever and the crust is like eating cardboard.

Oh Brad - BIG mistake buying generic processed cheese - unless it's Kraft, they all taste like floppy plastic!!

And Barney - just about any frozen pizza tastes like cardboard! You're better off to heat up the box it came in!

And for me, it's any of those LED puck lights (I bought mine at CostCo, but I'll bet they're all the same). If you mount them and turn them on and leave them on great - but the minute you turn them off, they stop working althogether. $#&@ing pieces of crap!!

Wow, I always loved Freschetta. Except for when the one you have pictured would fall apart in the oven and turn into a giant mess.

I do think the brick oven pizzas are better though.

Stay away from Bernatello's. I think the cheese is cultured from dog milk or something nasty like that.

I love Indian food, and it's something I don't have enough, so when I saw a frozen food brand called Discover Cuisine which has a line of Indian food. All I can say is that the food was so vile that even looking at a picture of it is enough to send me to the john barfing violently. It's absolutely vile and will never replicate the real Indian food

You're not alone. I actually prefer many of the generic names that you mentioned, only I like the regular brands, not diet. I also enjoy others like Albertson's brand soda, and big K. IMO, there's nothing as refreshing as a cold Albertson's brand cola on a warm Summer's day.

I know many people will probably be puzzled by this, but I've just never been able to stand cream of mushroom soup. Ever since my Oma made it for me as a child, and it was full of lumps, I haven't even been able to smell the stuff without getting a little queesy. Campbell's tomato soup is pretty nasty too, but no soup grosses me out as much as C OF M.

Actually, if baked right, the high priced pizza's like Freschetta's and DiGiorno's are just as good as a pizza you buy at the parlor. I baked a DiGiorno's last night and it tasted better than Domino's, the crust wasn't hard at all.

I will never buy any more products made by Emerson. I've bought a VCR and two Boom Boxes in the past and they all were a piece of crap. The VCR didn't last four months before it started eating my tapes and both Boom Boxes dragged at the beginning of the cassette.

It doesn't puzzle me because I have NEVER liked C of M, either!! When I was a kid, my babysitter made me C of M for lunch. I told her I didn't like it because I have never liked mushrooms. So she gave me a straw and told me to just suck the liquid through the straw, so I don't have to eat the mushrooms. The thing is it STILL tastes nasty. It tastes like mushroom in the liquid, too!!

I love most cream of...soups but C of M....I'm in total agreement with Brad!!

For some reason, I have never had any of the other foods that were mentioned in the post - Freschetta, beef stroganoff hamburger helper(although I will admit I really like their cheeseburger macaroni), sushi from 7-11 etc!!:D

I will not eat pre-packaged cheese, either. I get my cheese from the deli and I grew up eating white american cheese, not that orange stuff!!

The only thing I can think of that I'm not too crazy about is Hot Pockets. They are way too bready and the outer part tastes funny. I never buy them.

Most of those generic soft drinks are made by Cott. They also make President's Choice and now juices too. They also own Menu Foods, who were the manufacturers of the tainted pet foods last year.

I know the son of the guy who used to own Cott (actually I worked for him). It's an interesting story of how they competed against Coke and Pepsi.

Those DiGiorno's do look good, unfortunately we can't get them up here in Canada. I think we have a similar version called Delissio but I've never been able to buy it cuz the box is too big for the freezer! Lol

LOL - I'll add the same disclaimer! ;) The soap should never keep you guessing what part of the body it was used on! And dogs don't use your soap so it'z all good there!

I remember bouncing my friend's 3 wk old on my knee on a very hot, humid August afternoon (the girlfriend didn't tell me she had just fed him). I swear the kid was son of the possessed! Projectile and sourrrrrrr - whoa!
But remember, that kid does get older and the ones who don't like using a toilet or bucket would just kill me!

Naturally most people think I'm joking when I bring up the whole Beef Stroganoff nightmare thing, but it's no joke. I really did have many nightmares about the stuff growing up. One time I even woke up and started vomitting at the thought. When my mom came in the bathroom asking if I was okay, I told her why I was sick, and I was hoping that meant no more HH, but unfortunately less than a week later I was face to face with a plateful of my nightmare once again!!

That Halloween thing is actually a good idea. I have seen people dressed as boxes of Hamburger Helper before, and I can't think of a better time to dress as something so scary than on Halloween. lol! Only problem is, I'll have little kids vomitting out all there candy and running once they see the box of stroganoff.
