The first three seasons of Alfred Hitchcock Presents had been released in early to mid October for the past three consecutive years. Was expecting season 4 by now. I hope Universal has not cancelled further releases. Anyone have any news on future releases of this show?

My guess is that it is dead until someone like MPI or Shout Factory can acquire the rights from NBC / Universal. There was a 3 year wait between Season 1 and 2 of Adam-12 as well. NBC really irks me as they have some great shows and they seem to abandon them as much as Sony does. I'm still waiting for Dragnet 1968, Ironside - Season 3, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Season 4. Thankfully all three seasons of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour are available for viewing on hulu unedited which is nice. NBC seems to be more willing to release shows that way as Seasons 3 and 4 of Adam-12 are there also.

I went ahead and ordered seasons 4-7 on ioffer, should be coming any day now. Universal is notorious for being slow. For AHP, they were only releasing one season per year, and now just quit altogether. With rod Serling's Night Gallery, they finally put out season 2 four years after season 1. After I bought season 1 retail, I got tired of waiting and acquired the rest of the series in a trade. I'll probably pick up Alfred Hitchcock Hour complete series in the future. Universal may start releasing seasons again, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

How is the AHP seasons 4-7 set? Complete and uncut and good quality?

complete, excellent quality (made by a fellow trader who puts alot of time and care into his work) and mostly uncut. All but 2 of the episodes are Book Television airings, which are uncut. The 2 that aren't are "occurence at Owl Creek Bridge" (which is sped up) and "curtains for me", which is cut.

I hope this doesn't mean that for further seasons, it won't be held back or anything; hopefully season 5 (If any more) will be released on time, without any problems.

Season 5 is out now, too. It has a yellow banner on the cover.
