Because the label Arts Alliance America is releasing The Donna Reed show, I'd thought that I'd write them to see if they were considering The Patty Duke Show (as both are Sony properties). Well, I got a response from the President of AAA. It turns out I was partially wrong about The Donna Reed Show. Although it's a Screen Gems presentation (which almost always means it's a Sony property) only the last couple seasons are owned by Sony. All seasons before that are owned by the Donna Reed estate. AAA, is in discussions with Sony for those final 2 seasons of DR and they are also in discussions for The Patty Duke Show.

Here's the quote:

"We are in discussions on Patty Duke as well but it’s tough getting things out of the studios."

So, if and when Patty Duke DVD's come, this will probably be the label they come on.

Great news! Hope it happens. I would love to see it released on dvd. There aren't too many seasons so, hopefully, it wouldn't take too long for a full release of the series.

It's possible the first season might be out next year or the year after. If they do come out with it, hopefully there will be all uncut episodes as with some of these studios you never know what you're going to get.

I won't need DVD's from the studio since I already have the complete series, uncut episodes which I recently taped from TV. But aside from that, this show should have been issued on DVD a long time ago. I'm glad I don't have to sit around on pins and needles waiting for it.
