As a lot of you probably know, Anne Ramsay has done a lot of different things in between her time on this sereis and the present moment. A while back, I started a thread on this very page about her part in the most recent "Planet of the Apes" movie. One show that I have never seen in its entirety but that I have heard quite a bit about is a cable sereis called "The L Word". I even managed to see a clip from this show on "YouTube" and Anne was in it. One thing that I have read about in various places is peoples' speculation that, in real life, Anne bats for the other team. Does anyone reading this message have any idea if that is true. I think it would be quite ironic for a lesbian actress to play the part of someone as man-hungry as Lisa Stemple! I think that world would be about as surprised as they were when it came out that Robert Reed (Mike Brady) swung from the other side!

I don't think it would be ironic or shocking at all. She's an actress, and she wasn't playing herself. If she is gay, she's still an actress, not a "lesbian actress." People don't go off about, "Oh, you know that one straight actor..."

You are one letter off in the spelling of the lady that you are thinking of and that one that I wrote about! The actress from "Throw Mamma From the Train" is Anne Rams(e)y. This lady is Anne Rams(a)y! And just so you will know, the lady that you are thinking of is dead.

I have often wondered this question.

Although I appreciate the response, I am not really sure what question the last poster is wondering about! Is the question whether Anne Ramsay is gay or whether it is the same lady as the one from "Throw Mamma From the Train" or what? If you would like, you can confirm which question is the one you are wondering about and I will do my best to provide an answer. That is, if you have not already found the answer yourself! Bye!

As one more attempt to stimulate some conversation about this fine sereis, I am bringing this thread back to the top of the page. If there is anyone out there who has not already responded or who has learned anything new about whether Anne Ramsay is, in fact, gay, I would be very happy to hear from you! One of the reasons why I like Anne as much as I do is that I have a soft spot for lefties! Ever since my early twenties, I have thought of left-handed females to be rather cute in nature. One thing that I really liked was when the characters played by Anne Ramsay and Lisa Kudrow would appear together! It was great getting to see some lefty-on-lefty action!

Because I have not been successful in stimulating any conversation with any of my recent posts, I have decided to see what I could do by bringing this one up to the top. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anne Ramsay and I would be very interested in hearing from other people who like her!

This is the second of two threads that I am bringing to the top of this page. I would really like to stimulate some more conversation about this fine sereis! I am still very interested in whether anyone knows whether or not Anne really dose swing from the other side! In any event, whether she dose or she dose not, I like her a lot because of my soft spot for lefties!

I saw her in Vegas last weekend at a women's hockey tournament. My friend's team played who I will assume was her girlfriend's team. She was waiting in the lobby for her. Not a 100% certainty, but just an observation.

It must have been very exciting to get to see Anne Ramsay in person! How does she look these days? It is hard to believe that she will be fifty next year! Was she by herself? If I had such an expereince, I would not have been able to resist the temptation to tell her how much I liked her in "Mad About You" as well as "Planet of the Apes"! That is, unless she was surrounded by body guards!

I watched her today in "A League Of Their Own" and forgot she had been in that movie.
I never really had thought about Ann's sexuality before, but it wouldn't surprise me if she is gay. She's one of those gals you've seen at premieres who often goes "stag" like Jodie Foster did. And I'm almost positive Jody is a lesbian. If either of them came out I'm sure it wouldn't hurt their careers one bit.

Nope, it definitely wouldn't hurt them. Jodie doesn't even need to officially come out. I think everyone knows by now.

I think that it is interesting that people are willing to compare Anne Ramsay to Jody Foster. Even though I happen to like Anne, it seems that the rest of the world looks at her as a forgetable extra! Nine times out of ten, when I mention her name, people need an explanation before they know who I am talking about! Jody Foster, on the other hand, had the amount of fame that caused a guy to shoot the president in hopes of impressing her!

I think you're right there.
Funny, how the media go after some celebrities about it and then not others. The media has always given Jodie Foster a lot of room, especially considering when she was at the height of her fame. Maybe it was because of Hinkley and the mental anguish she suffered from his using her as an excuse. I know it did bother her a lot and especially when the media kept bringing it up.

I think that, if Jody does in fact, bat for the other team, it is quite ironic for a man to attempt to kill the president to impress a woman who is not even interested in men!

I recently read a very interesting post by you on the "Brady Bunch" page! I would be very interested in knowing what you think of it! One of the things that I mentioned in my response was not remembering if you posted on this thread. I am glad that I had the chance to reaquaint myself!

Over on "Youtube" there are quite a few clips with Anne in them. Most of them seem to be related to the series known as "The L Word". One such clip is about a conference of that show's members that will take place in Australia. In any event, I have not been able to find anything in which she actually says one way or the other if she is gay! I have posted at least one comment on one of these pages but, so far, no one has responded. I am no bringing this thread back to the top in hope that someone else is able and willing to shed some light on the subject!

Being that Meredith Baxter recently came out of the closet, I think that it is a good time to bring this thread to the top of the page. I am going to have to say that Meredith is someone that I never would have expected! She played a very All-American mom in a Waltons/Father Knows Best type of way! I think that this is at least as surprising as it was when Robert Reed (Mike Brady) was pulled out of the closet by his own death by AIDS! Anne, on the other hand was a rather different story. The only thing that would make her situation surprising is that her character on this show was that of a very man-hungry thirtysomething. I remember that one of the things that she tended to whine about was how flat-chested she was. It was clear that she knew that bosoms were one of the things that make a lady's body different from a man's and attractive to him. This was her explanation as to why Jamie was getting married while she was still shopping around even though Jamie was three years younger! In closing, I would just like to ask one rethoracal question to give you guys some food for thought. Who wouldn't be jealous of a sister who looked like Helen Hunt?
