View Full Version : S.O. members you could most picture as celebrities

There's alot of people here I can see as possible celebrities. I can see Captain Ablairica as a documentarian, a music historian, or maybe even as a writer for Rolling Stone. I can also see Music Junkie doing something along those lines in the music field as well.
I can see Janice as a Conservative columnist, and maybe even one of those political contributors on CNN, and Fox News. I can easily see her in politics maybe as a Governor, or Senator or something.
TripperFan I could easily see as being in a line of social work where she works with people. I could see her become famous for her big heart, and her incredible thoughtfulness, and willingness to help others. I can truly see her changing the world for the better, both environmentally, and in human relations.
Solomon, lastly, but not least I bring up you. You were the first to come to my mind for this thread. I could easily see you as some kind of sports contributor on ESPN. wHETHER Around The Horn, Rome Is Burning, PTI, whatever, I could see you as a great contributer. Could also see you on Sportscenter putting the Chris Berman's, Stuart Scott's, and the rest to shame with your funinness. They try being funny, and rarely are, but you're always funny, sometimes without even trying. I have no doubt that you could do what they do on ESPN if you put your mind to it. Because with all do respect to everyone here, you ARE THE SPORTS GUY HERE AT SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are many others I could name, but those are a few. I'll let you guys take it from here. Please don't let there be any negativity in this thread. This is meant to be a nice thread, and I'd hate to see it closed.
Also, I would encourage nobody to mention me unless they really could see me doing something. I tried to stay away from mentioning people solely cause their friends, so please do the same for me. Thanks!!

I can see Brad (AKA) writing about music. He has a wide range of musical taste and would make a really good music journalist and/or author.
As I mentioned in another thread, Cathy (dawsongirl) should have her own talk show on CNN or one of the other news channels. I would love to see her interview Sarah Palin.
Monika would make a great writer on pop culture. She knows so much about television, music and movies. I'm sure her first book would be a biography of Gregory Sierra.

I can see Brad as that young, good looking evangelical guy (his name escapes me tho); Andrea as a cheerleader, Charles as a graphics guy on The Soup (or Rip Torn - you never knew what he was going to come up with next), Janice as the mom on The Waltons, Max Whittaker as David Suzuki and I love the comparison of Brian as a detective on a NYPD cop show - like a better looking Dennis Franz - tough, but sweet on the inside!

TJL, Cathy (dawsongirl), Rich (OH Nuts!) and Charles (Zoneboy) I could definitely see on some kind of wacky comedy show - like Whose Line is it Anyway. Or maybe a Seinfeld like show with lots of dry one-liners. Solomon I could imagine as a sports guru - George Jefferson-style (with the strut and everything). There are more but I can't think of any right now.

Guess I wouldn't make it as a celebrity as I wasn't listed.
I could see you working on one of those Animal Planet shows. You have a big heart, and I can definitely see you on animal vets, or animal er, or something along those lines.
Btw, for those who aren't mentioned, don't feel bad. Keep in mind there's alot of people here at S.O., and it's hard sometimes to mention everyone. It took me about 3 years of being here before I was ever mentioned on these kinds of posts. Never really bothered me though cause I was more interested in knowing what you all thought of each other. Please just try not to take it personally, cause it's not. :)

i don't know, it was my gut feeling and it seemed like, from the kind of person yo u are, you would be good with kids.
I did want to be an elementary school teacher for a really long time, but then I changed my mind because I realized I didn't want to do that much school, lol.
I was a children's (3-10 year olds) dance teacher for 4 years, I help out @ schools, have a couple families I nanny for and volunteer @ daycare. Yeah, saying I love kids is an understatement. That's just so weird how you knew that, like without me ever saying that on here.

^ lol thanks, that makes me very happy & flattered because I do take my music seriously lol. Ramona, remember the white rappers that were made a mockery of, coincidentally in the early '90s? The marky mark & vanilla ices  lol. ice ice baby!!
At least Em, the Beastie Boys and Mike Shinoda are all really good. Paul Wall isn't bad as well.
Haha, good ol' Vanwinkle. All I can remember is him being like "yeah dawg, I'm from the intercity so I have the right to rap about the streets and bein on the turf, ya know what I'm saying man?" what a prankster. Then he tried to say that he didn't steal the beat to Ice Ice Baby from Queen and David Bowie? I will admit though, I do like to get down to some Vanilla Ice :). Yeah, there are some really good white rappers.
littlebelle
10-16-2008, 11:41 PM
Yeah that was hilarious . Yeah I remember the controversy about that beat, do you remember Death Row CEO Suge Knight holding him upside down over a 20 story balcony or something, because he stole the sample & the beat from a friend of suge? lol that was crazy. I also remember him and Eminem having beef, Rob being on VH1's The Surreal Life and he went ballistic over Ron Jeremy LOL..Chris Rock in a stand up show I have on dvd of his also joked, "all the great rappers is dead...2pac, biggy...vanilla ice? still alive.". Yeah he's alright, ice ice baby isn't bad but I don't listen to his music lol, that's cool though if you do. Yeah their are. Speaking of VH1, since they are catering more and more to hip hop fans and artists every year, they had a show and competition 2/3 years ago called the White Rapper Show. Dunno if you saw that, but I thought it was actually pretty good. MC Serch hosted it and this kid from Atlanta won it. it was pretty good, don't know how the ratings were though.
Really?? I never saw that. I watched something that was like "Greatest Rappers/Hip-Hop Artist of All Time" which was pretty good. Chris Rock is HILARIOUS by the way. My friend has all of the DVD's and there was one where he said something like "You know the world is going crazy when the best player in the NBA is asian and the best rapper is white, LOL, I was dying.
littlebelle
10-16-2008, 11:54 PM
the best golfer is black, the tallest NBA player is asian lol..hilarious stuff. do you listen to Fort Minor? jw.
I thought he said the tallest, cos Yao ain't the best player in the NBA, lol. I have one song of theirs on my iPod, "Where Did You Go". The one that was popular, I' like it because I can really vibe with it, you know the type of song you can listen to and get chills because the lyrics are so real and it seems kind of like your life? for some reason I feel that way when I listen to LAX too.
littlebelle
10-17-2008, 01:15 AM
Yeah I know what you mean, I have a lot of songs like that, that give me the chills. Yeah LAX is the same. I get chills when I listen to "My Life." You should listen to more Fort Minor if you're interested, especially if you like Where Did You Go as much as it looks like you did. They or he I should say has a song called, High Road which features singer John Legend, who is on Kanye's GOOD Music label if you're familiar with him. That song is great. Their is another song called Cigarette & another one I love called "Believe Me". Screw it, that whole album is excellent lol. Lupe Fiasco's first album was excellent as well, to mention, didn't like his second album though. Check these videos/songs out Ramona, they are awesome!

Maybe I'm not as well known here - relatively new compared to most of the posters here. (Everyone's pretty cool around here anyways)
I already pictured a couple of folks on here - maybe a few more won't hurt. I can picture Zoneboy as either an artistic comedian (like Ernie Kovacs was) or as one of the newscasters on SNL or the guy who puts Chris Berman to shame. TJL I can picture as the next guy who plays Jor-El (Superman's real father) the next time that role is needed. Schmoopie I could picture working either in public relations for a major star or as a studio negotiator.
As for myself, I really don't know what I would picture myself as. What do you think?

As you say, you're fairly new, but since I've never heard you talk, you could be SO's Clarabelle!! And if you do talk, then Buffalo Bob!! :D

First of all thanks...I LOVE the compliment!!
OK....here's how I sound. My mom is from Peoria, IL and my dad is from Buffalo, NY. I sound like a combination of the two - a midwestern voice with a slight (but noticeable) northeast dialect.
Yes, I DO talk, but can't sound like Howdy, so I let my husband do that! (HONK!! HONK!!) Also, I'm pretty good with one of those super water soaker things (is that the same as a seltzer bottle??) LOL!!

How about Charmed, since you are a fan of Alyssa Milano! You could be one of her romantic interests!! :)
As for myself, you guys may have other ideas, but I like to think of myself as a writer, but books, not TV.

I can see you as a motivational speaker, especially towards young women who have self confidence issues. Just based on what I've read from you, and what you've told me, it's obvious that looks aren't the most important thing to you, and that it's a persons heart that you care about the most. I've always admired you, and respected you for that, and I think as a good looking guy, you could really help to make girls with looks, and body image issues feel good about themselves. You obviously are caring, and have a huge  :)

It's actually funny that you say that, because I was going to post that I could see her as a rapper, because she seems to have the look. Also because I know she's a fan of the genre, and is very knowledgeable of it. I guess it's pretty obvious that you and I see Ramona quite a bit differentely.

Ramona's new nickname is Hollywood. Just ask her ;). So both of your professions you gave her would work under that nickname, but I'm just sayin.
I love Ramona to death, but I'm sorry dude, there's only one Hollywood around here, and she's the original, and that's the beautiful Hollywood Rock Chic, AKA Tara!!! ;)
And to Monika, I wouldn't worry too much about Ramona. If Kanye ever messed with her, she would give him a Gangsta rap type beat down. :boxing: She seems like a tough woman, and I think it would be in Kanye's best interest not to **** with her!!! ;)

It's all good. lol!! It's funny because I originally thought Ramona was from California. She was like, I'm not from California!! Then I just told her that I thought she was from Cali because she just has that California look to her, so Hollywood definitely fits her.
