From Hairspray to Mamma Mia to Fame. The next big musical headed to the big screen that's bound to be a big success is Fame, originally a 1980 musical conceived and produced by David De Silva. Thomas Dekker, from "Heroes" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", is the first big name actor to join the film, which is scheduled to start shooting in February for a late 2009 release. Dekker will play Marco, a working-class kid with some gnarly acting chops who is competing with thousands of other hopefuls to get into and survive an elite New York public high school for the arts.
