I love it. All summer long, we buy a half a watermelon. I quarter it, then cut it into slices. I put the slices in a big bowl in the fridge. We eat a few wedges after dinner, and I grab slices all day, lol. I love it when I get a good sweet watermelon.

Any other watermelon lovers?

mmmmm. i looooove watermelon too! it has to be cold though. i don't like it warm so i cut slices & keep them in the fridge for a couple of hours. but it really is a delicious snack. honeydew melon's good too, but definitely not as yummy. in fact, now i'm craving some watermelon. lol.

Wow, I forgot about honeydew. I worked at a restaurant once that had a large array of fresh fruit. For lunch, I'd make a plate of watermelon, honeydew, strawberries, pineapple, and whatever else they offered. I'd pass on the canteloupe, never cared for it. Honeydew is on my next grocery list. Thanks for the reminder. :)

I just listened to both of those songs. Very nice. That second song is very emotional. Thanks for posting. :)

I love watermelon too, although I haven't had any in a while. When I was little my grandad used to buy one every summer and my family would eat it in the backyard of my grandparent's house!

i like the artificial flavor in candy and such, but watermelon itself doesn't have seem to have any taste at all to me. i'm not sure why.

Some of it can be tasteless. I hate when that happens. I look for the deep red ones, but even that can be deceiving. When I luck out and get a sweet one, it tastes almost like candy, lol.

Watermelon has a lot of water in it. (Hence, WATERmelon) so maybe it's just diluted.

I've never been a fan of melons or cantaloupes, but it's nice that it is so refreshing for others.

That's how I feel. I have to really be in the mood for it to eat it.

lol yeah, if it's really red it's okay. I dunno, something about when you get to the end and it's all tasteless just grosses me outttt

I am the only person in my family that doesn't care for watermelon. We lived overseas when I was growing up and the watermelons were too expensive to purchase so I never had any until I was around 8 or so and I just don't care for it.

Thanks, and does she ever rock. My husband and I are getting into the habit of watching her every day. God help the person who stands before her and tries to pull one over.

watermelon is lovely on a hot summer's day. it's very refreshing and an alternative to drinking water as well there is a lot of water in watermelon.

honeydew melons are good to eat once in a while, but for me anyway, i end up drinking water because it leaves me feeling thirsty afterwards. here in england, they used to sell watermelon flavoured soda beverages. they were nice to drink as well.

here in london, there are fruit and veg stores which sell half and quarter slices of watermelon for under £1 each, and whole watermelons for around £3

<assume voice of Homer Simpson> Mmm... watermelon! </Homer>

I love watermelon. It's so juicy, sweet, and refreshing. It's the perfect dessert to a summer barbecue. (After ice cream, of course!)
