Not only was Julia-Louis Dreyfus able to escape the "Seinfeld" curse, which only befell half the cast incidentally, she's also created one of the funniest leading ladies of all time in Christine Campbell. And while CBS hasn't shown "The New Adventures of Old Christine" the love it truly deserves - a constantly shifting schedule, late in the game pick-ups, little promotion - I am thrilled they (finally) decided to renew the series for a fourth season.

I'm even more excited as the show heads into uncharted TV territory this year: a fake gay marriage of convenience! As EW's Ausiello revealed a few months back, Christine plans to take advantage of California's new gay marriage law by marrying Barb - and here's the photo to prove it!

Welcomed into everlasting love by her brother Matthew, Christine and Barb won't be moving in together but their wedded bliss is planned to last all season long. Well, I can't guarantee the bliss part - this is the same women whose longest relationship is with "So You Think You Can Dance" - but the union is definitely not a one-episode stunt.

You can just tell this season is gonna be great - I'm hoping it can last Wednesdays at 8pm, but I'm not getting my hopes up. No sitcom has lasted long in that slot, but I'm still waiting anxiously for season 4 to start up! The show is just itching to reach the 100-episode mark for syndication, so I'm thinking CBS will get it to at least that.

Did anyone watch this episode last night? Barb & Christine were hilarious on it.

This episode was great! I thought Barb and Christine were both great. It started out slowly, but by the end I was laughing. It definitely set up what seems to be an hilarious storyline for this season.

I'm so jealous of you guys, i'm English and have only seen series 1 and 2 so far. The new series sounds excellent and i can't wait to see it, whenever that will be. The character Christine Campbell is SO funny.
