Demond Wilson's off set problems.

As we all know towards the time Grady joined the show while Fred was gone Demond looked weird and that was because he was very high on the set. From one season to another Demond had problems you could see it in his face that he was not all there. He also never reprised his role or even guest starred on Sanford. He was excellent as Lamont and I hated to see him leave.

There was no love lost between Demond (Grady Demond Wilson) and Redd Foxx (John Elroy Sanford) when S & S ended. So, any type of reunion was pretty much outta the question. Demond did not even attend Redd's funeral, sighting previous commitments.

This is news to me, I was under the impression they got along very well, according to Demond in an interview on Entertainment Tonight a few years ago. Demond spke highly of Redd and he mentioned that nobody knew Redd like he did. The reason he didn't attend the funeral is because he wasn't in the country at the time.

Yes, I saw that ET interview as well. He also mentioned a few funny stories from the set. It seemed like they liked each other a great deal.
