*The station. Jinny's on the phone talking*
Jinny: We'll get on the case... so a robbery over at the conveience store... *Teddy comes up behind her. Jinny notices*... thank you. Goodbye.
*hangs up*
Jinny: What's up??
Teddy: Guess who's leaving?
Jinny: Captain? *jumps up* My wish came true! I'm the luckiest cop in the... *Captain comes over, shaking her head*
Captain: Not me.
Jinny: Darn! *sits down* Just kidding somewhat. Then who?
Teddy: This person's going out east, because the person got a new job as a big lieuteant in New England, and this person is leaving in about a month... *strokes her shoulders*
Jinny: I don't know.
Teddy: Me.
Jinny: You?
Teddy: Me.
Jinny: You're leaving in a month? What... what about...?
Teddy: What about what?
Jinny*gets up from her desk*: I need some coffee.
Teddy: Jinny...
*Jinny continues walking, ignoring him. Teddy runs up*
Teddy: And I was wondering also, if it's all right with you... *Jinny pours herself some coffee, barely listening*... if you wanted to come along too.
*Jinny drops the coffee cup abruptly. She turns to look at Teddy in shock and surprise.*

Jinny: I don't know how long Teddy expects us to be there. It could be for one year or two or three, maybe even ten. I don't know.
John: And I'm guessing since Teddy is getting a new job, you're getting a new job with him?
Jinny: I don't know. He never told me.
Casey: Jinny, I don't want you to leave.
Jinny: I don't want to leave either.
John: Then call this Teddy and tell him you're going to skip out on it.
Jinny: That's what I'll have to do then.

*Jinny's apartment. She picks up the phone and dials Teddy's number*
Teddy: Hello?
Jinny: Teddy? It's Jinny. Um.. uh, about that New England thing.
Teddy: What about it? You're going, aren't you?
Jinny: NO! *cools down* I mean, um...
Teddy: If you don't want to go, just tell me. It's not like I'm forcing you to go.
Jinny: Well, it sure sounds like you are! You know, Teddy, I don't think I want to go.
Teddy: I'm still going then.
Jinny *by now almost crying*: Fine. Have fun. Don't forget to write.
Teddy: Bye, Jinny.
Jinny: Yeah, bye.

*A month later. Jinny's at her desk, working on some papers. Magda comes over*
Magda: So, did he leave?
Jinny: Please. Don't even discuss it.
Magda: I'm taking that he did.
Jinny: He hasn't left yet for his plane. But he's going to call me when he does.
*Phone rings*
Jinny *picks it up*: Hello?
Teddy: Jinny?
Jinny: Who else?
Teddy: Jinny, I left something outside the station. Can you go out and get it?
Jinny: Yeah, yeah.
*She goes outside and sees Teddy standing there with his cell phone. She looks at him blankly*
Jinny: You found it, I guess.
Teddy: What if I told you I changed my mind? That I thought that it wasn't worth losing you and just calling you instead of seeing you?
Jinny: What if I told you that you made the nicest, best decision in the world?
Teddy: Thanks, Jinny.
Jinny: No.. thanks for doing this, Teddy.
Teddy: Any time.
Jinny: So.. what do you want to do tonight?
Teddy: Anything.
Jinny: Sounds good to me.
