View Full Version : If you could own any car...

What would it be?
I'd own a Bentley Continental GT Speed.
http://nysportscars.com/pictures/169983.jpg
Too bad they cost well over $200,000.
I would also like to own just about any kind of car that was made in the 1950s. They were built so well back then compared to nowadays.

Hey, not all of us girls are like that!
I'd have a fleet. A car from every decade from the 50s to now for starters. Not sure what kind for sure. Have to have a convertible in there too. I'll find some pics.
I think this car is neat. It's a 55 T-bird.

I already own one of my two "own any cars." (1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, photo below).
My other one would be a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T 440-Magnum (photo below).

Well, it's easy to turn and park. It handles just like a little car would. Plus the seats are really comfortable. :D
Mines black, and the paint is peeling thanks to the hot Louisiana summers, but I wouldn't want to trade it in. But a CD player would be nice.

There's a car JUST LIKE the black one in the photograph in the parking lot across the street from my house. It's been sitting there for, like, 4 years.
A 1978 Chevy Camaro just like the one I had when I was in college.

I think chrome bumpers look so much better. See:

Luxury car. That seems to be the term you are looking for. :)
Why pick small and dull when you can have long and shiny?
I just can't understand the appeal. Wouldn't it be like driving a bus
A bus? How in the world can you equate a bus with a luxury car? For one thing, most luxury cars can go well over 100+ mph; buses can't. Most luxury cars (especially mine) have a nice, quiet and smooth ride; buses don't.
And most luxury cars (especially mine) have a big, comfortable back seat:

The most expensive car in the world is the Bugatti Veyron. It costs about $2,000,000. That's dreamin' big.
With a top speed of 254 MPH, It's the fastest production road car.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6a/Bugatti_Veyron-salzburg_(9).jpg/800px-Bugatti_Veyron-salzburg_(9).jpg
There is only 50 of these extreme machines made per year with an eventual total of 600 for production.

I wouldn't mind owning this car, which belongs to one of my Cadillac friends.
It is a 1968 Cadillac Sedan de Ville, currently with about 13,000 miles. It had 4,200 miles when he bought it at an estate auction.
Look at that rear overhang! You won't see that on modern cars!
