Oh boy, there are so many!!! TV has a great way of surprising you sometimes. You never know what a show has to offer until you give it a chance...

These are the shows I got into just this year that I never thought I'd ever watch or get into:

-George Lopez (Never watched it on it's original run because I never thought I'd like it, but then it came to Nick @ Nite and I fell in love with the show!! Absolutely hillarious!!)

-How I Met Your Mother (I watched the show only for the much hyped Britney episode and ended up getting hooked to the show after one episode!! I can't believe it took me so long to discover this great show!!)

-The Big Bang Theory (So Monday nights before HIMYM is Big Bang Theory, and it wasn't long before I became addicted to this gem! The writing is superb!!!)

-My Name is Earl (Usually airs before The Office, which I love, and when I gave the show a chance one day, I couldn't stop laughing!! Good stuff!!)

-30 Rock (Again, it's on the same night as The Office, and I'd heard great things about the show, but never really seen it. When I did, I was sorry I'd missed the first season!!)

-The Nanny (I was never a fan, but watching it on Lifetime and found that this show is actually really funny! The chemistry between Fran and Mr. Sheffield is great!)

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" - When this show was on, it just seemed like the kind of show I would never like. So I didn't. However, last November, when the complete series was on sale for $94, I decided to blind buy it. Once I got it, I watched all seven seasons over a course of three to four weeks. It's one of my favorite shows now.

"Angel" - Well I wasn't going to watch this if I wasn't watching "Buffy." What surprised me is how much I love it now. I even kind of prefer it to Buffy. That surprised me. Glenn Quinn was only in the first nine episodes, yet, when I think of him, it's from "Angel" not his long run on "Roseanne."

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" - I wasn't a big fan of "Seinfeld." I thought it was funny, but didn't deserve to be known as one of the all-time great sitcoms. So when I saw that Larry David had his own show, I didn't care to watch. One day, I was at a Target and in the mood to watch a season set to a show I had never seen. I saw season one of Curb and decided to check it out. It is hilarious. I laugh so much that I nearly throw up. I don't do that with a lot of shows. Needless to say, it's one of my favorites.

CSI, Dexter, Fresh Prince. I remember going on and on about how dumb I thought that show (FP) looked when it debuted in 1990. Watched the first episode and laughed all through it.

My wife got me completely hooked on this show, because she had seen episodes at her mom's house. We bought the first two seasons on DVD without me having seen a single episode. I really like this show now. Dammit.

It's definitely Swingtown for me - I saw previews for it all spring, but I never thought of watching it. I had nothing else to do on a Thursday night, so I turned to Swingtown (it was the second episode) and I've been watching ever since.

Funny how people mentioned GEORGE LOPEZ as a show they thought they'd never watch. It really is an awesome show and glad to see people who actually took the time to watch it and see the gem that ABC once had in its hands. N@N may not be the place for GL but it gives people a chance to catch this show for the first time. It also airs on a local channel here.

I found that pretty interesting too!!! George Lopez was on several peoples' lists, including mine. LOL! Honestly, I don't think I would've given it a chance if it weren't for N@N, so I'm really glad I did, and that it's on the network, and I hope it stays there!!

It also airs on our local CW channel here on weekends, but it's not the same as N@N's everyday airings.

There's focus on the kids and Jill too!! Of course it's going to be focused more on Tim, he's the star and the center of the show!! It's about how he matures and learns to deal with his problems at home and at work.

You didn't find it hillarious?

I thought that show was funny when it first aired, but I look at it now, and it's just annoying.

George Lopez is always good for a few laughs though. I watched it very occasionally when it was on ABC, but it's funny now.

Another show I never thought I would watch was "Sliders." I remember when it was on and my sister started watching it. I just assumed it was a "Quantum Leap" rip-off. Anyways, eventually, I gave it a chance and now it's one of my favorite shows.

"Family Guy" - It looked like a Simpsons rip-off. I avoided it until the first two volumes came to DVD. I decided to blind buy it, since at the time I was collecting ALL sitcoms DVDs. Anyways, I ended up liking the show. I don't love it, but I certainly like it.

I did, the show seemed to be focused on Tim, AL, and Wilson-lolthere weren't many storylines centered around Wilson. I'd say of all the regulars except Heidi he had the least storylines. And Al had a lot of plots but so did Brad and Randy. Tim and Jill obviously had the most air time, they were the biggest stars of the show.

Let me add these to my list:

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Got hooked on London Tipton, Yay me. LOL
Hannah Montana: Rico and Jackson crack me up and have good comic timing.
Drake and Josh: I like the physical comedy, they were like Perfect Strangers.
iCarly: Don't know why, went from bratty sister to adult. Nothing else is on TV.

I watch those shows too!!! People may call them "kiddie shows," but I think they're actually quite witty if you give them the chance!!! Definetly hillarious!!!
I haven't been able to get into iCarly yet though, maybe because I can't see Miranda as anything but bratty little Megan!!!

You should check out Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide--It's along the same lines of the shows you listed, clever, cute, funny...

Oh I have, LOL it is a pretty witty show and funny. It reminds me of that 80's show called Parker Lewis Can't Lose.

SEINFELD- Before I got hooked on it, my favorite shows were things like "Growing Pains", "Full House"... in other words, "family shows". I can't really explain what drew me to "Seinfeld". I just found it so different than anything else on TV, and it's hilarious! By Season 7 (or whatever season aired during 1993-94, I was hooked!). I still think it's the best show ever!

CHARMED-I always thought it was such a stupid show; witches and 20-something girls didn't interest me in the least. Then my husband started watching it, and reluctantly, I watched with him. After a while, it grew on me, and now I watch it more than he does. It was a really well-done show, and had several hilarious moments, which really surprised me. My favorites are the ones with Shannen Doherty, though. Never cared for Rose McGowan that much. I thought Shannen was better suited for the show.

THE SOPRANOS-Definitely not one of my favorites, but this is another show that my husband got me interested in. I don't really care for all the constant four-letter words, but I started watching it on BRAVO and found it entertaining as well as funny at times. The acting is great, and the psychologist/family storylines are what I enjoy most.

MONK-Yet another show that my husband got me hooked on. We were watching it on vacation several years ago. I couldn't figure out what was going on, and couldn't understand why Monk was acting the way he was. After a while, I got hooked on it, then fell in love with it. Now I think it's one of the most unique shows ever!
