Square Pegs/Clueless

IMO I think "Square Pegs" is an 80's version of the 90's show "Clueless" only Patty and her friend were trying to be popular and on Clueless the girls were popular. The music was kind of the same. (Rock Beat) Both show dealt with kids trying to fit in. What do you guys think?

Another couple of eerie similiarites-they starred actresses (Sarah Jessica Parker as one of the two girls; Alicia Silverstone from the originaol film CLUELESS) who would be famous, and each franmvhise was a woman's creation--------and for good measure both women (Anne Beates of SP and Amy hecklering of CL) have first names starting with the same letter---A!
