Was a touching and poignant memorial to Tim Russert. Tim will go down as one of the great journalists - right along side Edward Murrow. Everyone was in fine form on the show, so bi-partisan in their fond admiration and memories of the man. Tom Brokaw, as always, did a superb job. But then he was clearly moved from the heart by his own recollections of an extraordinary man and colleague.

I was going to record it, but with the excitement of my nephew's birthday party yesterday, I forgot to set the timer. :( Jay Leno had a touching tribute to Mr. Russert after his monologue on Friday night. :rip: Tim.

I watched Meet The Press today online. It was so sad. What a wonderful man Tim was. Dedicated to his family, loved his job, loved life. I'm still in shock, and feel very very bad over his passing.

It is very sad. It is even more sad these days when such great media people pass on, when you look around at the wasteland that is the 'mainstream' media. Case in point is MSNBC, Keith Uberman, who didn't wait till the man was buried before he used his death to attack FOX News, and really anyone who doesn't agree with thsi cretins views. Not to be outdone, Arianna 'I'm Not Zsa, Zsa' Huffington attacked Tim Russert for not becoming a hatchet man in Plame trial. They might as well shut down CBS, NBC, ABC, turn out the lights, it's over.

^ Some people will never have any class, and Arianna is one of them. I thought we'd heard the last of her after the 2003 California Governor recall thing. Why won't she just go away???

It is indeed unfortunate that the media is rife with tacky people who lack finesse, they make me sick so I watch AS LITTLE of them as possible. How this contrasts with the 6-15-08 MTP - which consisted of classy players on both sides of the table.
