Is it true that the characters of Boss Hogg & Deputy Enos Strate guest-starred on Alice at one time? If so, can anyone give me a synopsis?? I love Dukes and those two characters in particular. :D

Enos is my favorite Dukes character, period.

Do you remember the Enos spin-off...I remember watching the premiere when it originally aired.

I never saw the Enos show. :( I was born the same year Dukes premiered, so I was only about 2 when the Enos spinoff aired.

I just remember being excited because it was Enos in his own show, I don't remember if I watched it past the first episode. I would like to see it again, from what I do remember Enos tries being a cop in the big city, and it seems like he did some maneuvers in the car that he learned from the Dukes.

Since all seven seasons of Dukes are available on DVD, it would be nice to see the Enos show get released as well. I loved watching Enos interact with the girl of his dreams, Daisy. Those two were magic together.

That's probably why Enos didn't make it, Enos needed the Duke family, and Rosco to play off of.

I tried seeing the episode myself, but it just didn't click for me. I guess that if it had also contained Bo and Luke, it would have been my cup of tea. However, since it aired during the Coy and Vance period, it just couldn't happen.

Looks like the powers that be took it down. You didn't miss much. It was a fair episode. It was just fun to see some Dukes characters elsewhere.

I saw Sonny Shroyer at Dukesfest and he said he had been approached about having the series on DVD. That was over a year ago though.

I didn't expect it to be great, but I so wanted to see Boss Hogg and Mel interact. I loved both characters!!

The Enos show? That would be cool. If it was released (since the complete series of Dukes and the two reunion movies are all on DVD), a great extra would be this Alice episode. We can dream, can't we? :D

Flash forward - the Dukes Saturday morning cartoon series recently got a DVD release. Now all we need is Enos' spinoff and the Dukes material (not counting the shameful 2005 remake) would be complete!!! Here's a photo I found on SO's Alice photo gallery of Mel with Boss Hogg:

Here is another interesting fact!! Vic Tayback (Mel) and Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) were only two days apart in age. Mr. Booke was born January 4, 1930 and Mr. Tayback was born January 6, 1930. They both left us too young - Mr. Tayback of a heart attack in 1990 and Mr. Booke of colon cancer in 1994. Both are deeply missed to this day!!
