Almost 2 months ago, I started watching Hazel again for the first time in nearly 25 years. At that time, I didn't care much for the show but I thought it was at least worth another look and I've been enjoying it this time around.

Yesterday's episode was about George Baxter's long-lost cousin dropping in for surprise visit. At first I thought it was Polly Holliday because she sounded and acted just like her so I go to ever reliable IMDb and her credits (if complete) only go back to 1974 so she was ruled out.

I wasn't too far off the mark though, When the credits rolled, I saw that it was Diane Ladd who played the role so now it was time to go back to good ole IMDb and see what the title of the episode was and wouldn't you know, They have no record of Diane ever being on the show and that's not the only example from Hazel. Other guest stars that are clearly listed in the credits are nowhere to be found on IMDb. I haven't checked tv.com yet so hopefully their info will be more accurate.

IMDb (and wikipedia) are sometimes more incompetent than the Hazzard County PD!!

I caught another example of IMDb's reliability today, The Ray Fulmer episodes started recently and today's offering had Hazel showing a home to perspective buyers while Steve Baxter and the rest of the family went on a picnic. One of the buyers was played by Jack Dodson and another by Mabel Albertson, Both would later go on to work together on The Andy Griffith Show as Howard Sprague and his Mother which is acknowledged by IMDb but Of course they had nothing on their site regarding their appearance on Hazel.

oh ok--I forgot that you told me that you had access to that.
FTR, what set of episodes are they playing? Do they have the current Sony Pictures Television logo or some older logo?

I don't like IMDB that much. I did a search for some cast members of "Square Pegs" and it says that they only appeared in three episodes. Um... I don't think so! Try 18, or however many the series had!

However, I guess for general information, IMDB is pretty cool. I do check it often, so I can't complain too much!

I hate their message boards as well! I won't get into that, though!
