another good one from the college era episodes!
This one has Wally Cox, playing his trademark nebbish teacher type (shades of Mister Peepers). I love how the guys think that because he has moved in, they have to change their "wicked" ways--start dressing for dinner, study all the time. It drives them crazy and they devise a plan to drive Professor crazy by doing all kinds of juvenile tricks. But the tricks only backfire to make the Prof think he is one of the gang now! Then he announces he is moving out because his wife is now finally in town--and boy, the boys envy him when they see what a looker he has for a wife
Wally(the student, not Cox) and that goofy laugh

Yes this is one of the "classic" episodes that can almost be guaranteed to turn up on a DVD set release. I have like 5-6 copies of it from different sets. This is one of the few eps where the Nelsons have on a guest star and Wally is great as the nerdy prof who gives out LOTS and LOTS of homework. At the frat he means well but he sure cramps the guys' style. Some charming moments in this ep - esp. the one where Wally and Ricky have that pillow fight. This is another of my fav eps that I have seen many times.

I have 2 copies of this one now, but of course, the Mill Creek version seems better.
The opening was adjusted to reflect Wally Cox's guest star status.
I enjoy Wally's guest appearance on The Lucy Show and as the minister in "Spencer's Mountain".
I have never seen Mister Peepers--have you, Rich?

Did you ever see Wally Cox as a bird watcher with Miss Jane on The Beverly Hillbillies? He was just a great actor all around.

Yep, sure did.
Ever watch this episode, honeybea?
Did you know that Wally was also a published author? I read a novel of his about a dogcatcher who solves a murder mystery. Was a pretty fun read.

Yes, I watched that episode a few months back for the first time. I know I watched Ozzie and Harriet when it for aired in the fifties, but all I really remember was Ricky singing. Guess that's because I was a young girl in love with Ricky and Elvis. Now I appreciate the show much more than I did back then.

Nope -a DVD set of Season of it was at J & R for $38 - too much for me. Maybe some snippet of it is on You Tube. I'm going to check.
