I happen to go to this site called find a grave.com and an anonymous poster over there mentioned in their memorial to Hugh that they heard that he and his wife of 32 yrs. had divorced after his strokes in 72 and 74. First, I found it strange that someone would put that in a memorial and second, they sounded like a whack job. I have never read this in any online bio that I have read on him however, when I read about his trip to Germany where he died, they don't mention his wife being with him and I was never sure if it was because she died first or they weren't together for some weird reason. Anyone know of this news of him getting a divorce after all those yrs.? Just wanted to share this bizarre news. If you want to go to the link and check it out here it is. It was just posted yesterday! I guess just type in his name. www.findagrave.com

That's werid... I think someone is doing a whack job.... Maybe his wife had to work or something....
I really don't think she would dump him after his stroke but it could be possible that she was with him when he died and she wasn't mentioned.
I did think it was werid that he was creamated and that I think I read soemwhere that his widow re-married....

I know he was an ordained Methodist(?) minister in real life. I'd love to learn more about his life in the ministry, and how he juggled it with show biz.

I did some digging and found out that they did indeed divorce in 1974. I doubt it was because of him becoming ill, it must have been in the making before that. I found this on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia site.

No... Go to IMDB.com and see if they post that.. Because it's not on IMDB.com...
Wiki, you can sign in as a member and change whatever you want to change even if it's false...
Just check it at IMDB.com cause they check things first before posting them.

I know but you can be a member at Wiki and change whatever you want...
Heck, I heard that on that website about Sam Waterston that someone posted some slanderous things taht aren't true about him.
I'm just saying for those who see this, to not believe Wiki and that IMDB.com is better since they check things out..

IMDB shouldn't always be believed either, just like Wiki it's the members who put in the information, and IMDB doesn't always check the facts. There's been fake movies added, wrong information about movies added. I've even seen quotes added that aren't even in the films.
