I knew Murphy Brown wouldn't get good treatment. buried weekdays at 3AM and no other airings :( At least Mad About You gets a few marathons and special airings. Hogan's Heroes I saw once and didn't like but that was a long time ago. I'm surprised The Munsters and The Addams Family got renewed, but that's a good thing.

Just Shoot Me leading into I Love Lucy on Thursday nights is weird. It would have made more sense to air Lucy at 9 and JSM at 10.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed about Murphy Brown's airings. It's only airing at 3am . . . You think they could have given it a nice morning or afternoon slot if anything else. We don't even get a launch marathon like Mad About You does.

I'm really surprised at the number of airings Mad About You is getting. It's airing at 2:30am, but still, it's getting a lot of additional airings throughout the month, plus the marathon.

I don't understand why you all think it is surprising Mad About You and Murphy Brown are in bad slots. All TV Land is doing is borrowing it from Nick at Nite to air episodes because they bombed on Nick at Nite, so might as well air them somewhere since it is paid for. Late nights was all I was expecting for these two. It's not like TV Land bought it separately.

Also, Murphy Brown already aired on TV Land regularly, that is why it doesn't get a "launch" marathon like Mad About You. In fact, Murphy Brown was airing like 9pm or something on TV Land when it launched...didn't do that well.

I believe Murphy aired at 10pm before - it stayed there for like 2 months, then was yanked off. I was just hoping we could get a little earlier. Midnight would have been even better . . . But, I guess it's not too shocking, knowing TV Land and their ways of airing shows.

Mad About You is actually getting great slots. It's airing for 2 hours on Monday in primetime, a lot of special airings, it's marathon, plus its regular 2:30am airing.

Those special filler airings of Mad About You could always change...Just Shoot Me is a victim of that.

Here is the blog story with some more insight and details:

New Reality Show Coming in 2009:

TV Land Greenlights New 'Cougar' Series From Mike Fleiss, a New Dating Show in Which a Mature Woman Chooses From a Batch of Eligible Young Men

Mike Fleiss ('High School Reunion' and 'The Bachelor') Set to Executive Produce

NEW YORK, May 1 -- TV Land announced today the pickup of a new elimination dating series, Untitled Cougar Project, where eligible young men vie for the attention of a sexy and accomplished mature woman (the Cougar). Through a series of creative and romantic challenges, the men will be eliminated weekly -- all at the discretion of the Cougar. The network will produce one-hour episodes slated to air in early 2009. Casting for participants has begun nationwide. Casting information can be found at Kasstinginc.com.

This series is the latest in TV Land's aggressive programming agenda that is now primarily focused on serving up original programming content for viewers in their 40s and 50s. The channel's recent original series "High School Reunion," which was also produced by Mike Fleiss, delivered triple-digit gains across the network's target demo, Adults 25-54, and double-digit gains among the network's core audience, Adults 40-54.

"We are thrilled to unleash this wild project onto TV Land's schedule and join other successful and fun-filled shows like 'High School Reunion' from Mike Fleiss," stated Keith Cox, executive vice president, original programming and production. "The TV Land audience is looking for entertainment with interesting and compelling storylines -- something Fleiss has proven he can deliver to our audience."

Untitled Cougar Project is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss serves as executive producer.

Star-Studded Ninety Minute Special Saluting The Best And Brightest In Television And Film Premieres Sunday, June 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT

NEW YORK, May 22 -- TV Land today announced that Vanessa Williams, multi-talented actress, singer and star of the current comedy hit "Ugly Betty" has been tapped as host of this year's sixth annual "TV Land Awards." The network also announced that this year's show will honor Mike Myers, Garry Marshall, "Roseanne," "The Golden Girls" and Jonathan Winters among others. The show will tape on Sunday, June 8 at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA and will premiere on TV Land on Sunday, June 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The "TV Land Awards" is the network's annual salute to the best and brightest in the world of entertainment. This year, the show will feature reunions of some of the most iconic casts from TV, showcase rousing musical performances and the always-popular television show parody, and for the first time ever, honor favorites in movies. Additional honorees will be announced shortly.

"We are thrilled to have Vanessa Williams as the host of this year's 'TV Land Awards'," states Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. "Her amazing talent has earned her international recognition and her charm and energy are sure to resonate with TV Land's audience."

All of this year's honorees are pop culture icons representing a cross-section of television and film that people in their 40s continue to love. Among the honorees are:

THE LEGACY OF LAUGHTER AWARD
This is presented to performers who are funny and then funny and then funny again. They create timeless comedy by mixing the strange and the familiar, bringing to life characters, stories and moments that are both comically absurd, and, at some level, completely real. This year's recipient is Mike Myers. Last year, this award was presented to Lucille Ball for her awe-inspiring work, which continues to serve as an inspiration and a guiding force.

THE LEGEND AWARD
This award is presented to an entertainer who has stood the test of time and ranks among the most memorable and celebrated in TV and movie history. TV Land will honor Garry Marshall as this year's recipient.

THE PIONEER AWARD
Given to performers who have distinguished themselves by pushing back the frontiers of the media and bringing true originality to the world of entertainment, this year's Pioneer award is bestowed upon Jonathan Winters.

INNOVATOR AWARD
This award is presented to a series whose influence is still felt and evident in television today; a show that carved our new territory, redefining elements of the genre and opening new pathways for others to follow. TV Land will honor "Roseanne" as this year's recipient.

THE POP CULTURE AWARD
This award is presented to a show that has crossed the line from television series to pop culture phenomenon. This year's honoree is "The Golden Girls."

About Vanessa Williams
Vanessa Williams has maintained a reputation as one of the most respected and multi-faceted entertainers in the world, amassing accomplishments and accolades, one after another. She has conquered the musical charts, Broadway, music videos, television and motion pictures. She has sold over four million albums worldwide and her skills as an actress on stage, in film and on television have earned praise from the most seasoned of critics.

Her role as the deliciously wicked Wilhelmina Slater on ABC's critically-acclaimed hit series, "Ugly Betty" has taken her career to even new heights and further establishing her as a pop culture icon. Williams, her co-stars and the show have won or been nominated for numerous individual and ensemble awards, including the Emmy, SAG Award, Golden Globe and NAACP Image Awards.

In addition to her successful television career, Williams has earned multiple Grammy nominations, has starred in Tony Award-winning Broadway shows including "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and firmly established her as a well-rounded, multi-talented triple-threat, dazzling audiences nightly with her acting, singing and dancing. In 2002, Vanessa starred in "Into the Woods," where earned her first Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.
Vanessa won the NAACP Image Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress for her starring role in the 20th Century Fox 1997 release, "Soul Food," with Nia Long and Vivica A. Fox. The film was a box-office success, winning the Image Award for Best Motion Picture.

Michael Levitt ("TV Land Awards," "Billboard Music Awards," "Producers Guild Awards") is executive producer, Emmy-award winning Jeff Margolis as director ("Academy Awards," "American Music Awards," "Screen Actors Guild Awards"), Greg Sills serves as supervising producer ("VH1 Rock Honors," "The Teen Choice Awards," "Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards") and TV Land's Sal Maniaci and Larry W. Jones are executive producers.

Vanessa Williams isn't a bad choice - she's a great actress and singer, afterall. I just wish they'd start choosing some classic TV stars - it seems more appropriate for the TV Land awards.

Good to see both Roseanne and The Golden Girls being awarded this year. The rest of it seems way off track of television, IMO.

Since they're obviously sliding further and further away from classic TV, I guess the TVLand Awards are no exception. That said, I don't have any problem with Vanessa Williams being the host, and I do enjoy the fact that "Roseanne," "Golden Girls," Jonathan Winters, and Garry Marshall are all getting recognized for their places in TV history. Mike Myers is completely random, though, and I can think of at least a hundred people who deserve that award before he does. John Ritter, for one.

Yeah, I really dont have a problem her hosting either. But, Mike Myers getting the Legacy of Laughter award is completely offtrack. Not only is he not a TV star, he's also not that funny, and not even an actor who's been around for awhile. If they wanted to choose an actor from the movies, they could have at least chosen a little better.

Or they could have gone the crossover route and picked Robin Williams or somebody. There's a list as long as the Mississippi River of people that are more deserving and more logical choices.

I was actually thinking that Robin Williams would have been a good choice as well. He's a veteran TV and movie comedic actor, and much more deserving than Mike Myers.

Shame on TV Land for not promoting the additions of "Hogan's Heroes," "Mad About You," or "Murphy Brown" at all. I guess I can see it for MAY and MB since they are simply being played out from their N@N contract but "Hogan's Heroes" is a genuine addition to the network

and they tout the ratings of their originals - maybe because it's promoted during every show aired on TV Land (on the TVL icon AND the commercial breaks AND the end credits)

I don't even like "Hogan's Heroes" but I'm just sad at how much TV Land sucks nowadays - all things considered, their shows are still somewhat diverse but the promotion and care for the shows has gone WAY downhill in recent years save for their originals

Proof that these are the last days! ;)

You know, I wouldn't care as much if they changed the name of the network, essentially killing off TV Land. But it's using the once great name of "TV Land" as a channel for all these crappy reality shows that ticks me off. Because even though I know the TV Land of the past is gone, with that name I still hope for a complete turnaround.

Is that "The Office" for Future Classic Award!?! I thought only debut seasons of shows were up for this "honor". Not a show in it's 4th (?) season.

I'd really appreciate it if they stopped adding shows like "Hogan's Heroes." It really strings the audience along, I think. They add "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Hogan's Heroes," two of their older pick-ups in a long time, yet at the same time, they're doling out this reality stuff.

If the reality stuff is doing so well for them, why don't they just stop effing with the audience and decide on what type of network they want to be. If they want to rub out their hard-on for the 80s and women in their 40s, they need to do that. If they want to be the awesome channel they used to be, to hell with ratings, they need to do that.

New York, New York, June 12, 2008 -- TV Land's newest original reality series, "She's Got The Look," continues to build momentum, as the second episode aired Wednesday and scored double digit gains among the network's target demo, Adults 25-54, and the network's core audience, Adults 40-54 over last week's season premiere. The six-episode series, a collaboration with Wilhelmina Models, Inc., sets out to discover a sophisticated, beautiful and confident woman 35 or older destined to become the next great supermodel. The winner will receive a lucrative modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models, Inc. and a photo spread for SELF Magazine.

Last night's episode, in which the ten finalists dare to bare it all in their first elimination challenge, posted a 0.5/488,000 among A25-54, up +15% in rating from last week's episode and +14% in delivery. Among the network's core A40-54 audience, the episode earned a 0.6/313,000, a rise of +12% in rating and +13% in delivery over last week. The median age was 45. Compared to YAGO, the telecast witnessed a +74% increase in rating and +79% increase in delivery among A25-54 and a +39% rise in rating and +44% in delivery among A40-54.

"She's Got the Look" drove TVLand.com to experience its best week ever. Thursday, June 5th, the day after the show's premiere episode, was the site's second best day ever. In response to the on-air premiere of the second episode on Wednesday, June 11, the site saw a +245% increase in uniques and a +299% rise in page views compared to YAGO.

Iconic supermodel Kim Alexis, who has graced the covers of more than 500 magazines, hosts "She's Got The Look." Supermodel Beverly Johnson -- who made history as the first African-American model to appear on the cover of American Vogue -- celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and Wilhelmina president Sean Patterson are featured as regular judges on the series. The series is executive produced by Emmy Award-Winner Allison Grodner ("Big Brother," "Blowout").

Aaron, I said to look on the first post in this thread for encore times, not your guide. Your guide will be wrong because they cannot keep up with TV Land's changes.

Go to the first post and scroll down until you see the words 6th TV Land Awards in dark bold letters. And then I list clearly the repeat times. This is nothing new.
