Yes, he would be the oldest. But I would rather vote for the oldest one than the one who was the most liberal Senator (going by his voting record) in 2007. (That would be Obama.)

Most liberal is always BS. The national review hey released this after it was apparent he would be the nominee and Hillary and Obama differ on like, 4 votes, yet she's number 16.
Most people don't care about the word "liberal." Not this year anyway, it may have worked in 04.
FWIW McCain and Obama agree on a lot, such as global warming, the bush tax cuts and illegal immigration. He also voted against the gay marriage amendment, and I doubt he would overturn roe v wade.
Is he for stem cell research?

Not when you go by the actual voting record. Going by that, Obama was the most liberal Senator in 2007.

Most people don't care about the word "liberal." Not this year anyway, it may have worked in 04.
A LOT of people care about the word "liberal" because they don't want their taxes raised. Some, however, (for some reason) vote for the candidate whom they know will raise their taxes.
FWIW McCain and Obama agree on a lot, such as global warming, the bush tax cuts and illegal immigration. He also voted against the gay marriage amendment, and I doubt he would overturn roe v wade.
That just shows that McCain is not a true conservative. (But would still be better than Obama or Hillary.)
Is he for stem cell research.
Don't know. I am for it, but not embryonic stem cell research.

Why McCain is following the global warning nutcases I have no clue. He is for keeping the Bush Tax cuts in place where as both Hillary and Obama both want to let it slide in a sence raising taxes. McCain finally realized that the people did not want the amnesty bill so he has decided to go a different route on that policy. Secure the border FIRST then deal with those who are here. McCain is definately not my first choice for a candidate but since the left wing media made him their darling and basically got him the nomination it's who we are stuck with. And he is apparently listening to his voting base and rethinking his stance on issues that are important to us.

McCain is only saying that to get the conservatives. He's not going to be hard on illegal immigrants, in the unlikely event he were elected. He's not going to ban gay marriage. He's probably not going to keep the Bush tax cuts. He IS for embryonic stem cell research. McCain is only conservative on the war. I don't understand why he's going to run as a conservative when the country has moved left.

You have no clue how he is going to run his administration WHEN he gets elected. You can speculate all you want. To me it sounds like he is hearing what the people want and understanding that he works for the people and that's the way we want things.
The country hasn't moved to the left. The media and big cities have moved to the left. Middle America is still middle of the road or more conservative. The reason you would thing the country is going to the left is the way it's reported.

Obama: Most liberal Senator in 2007. Here are some samples why...
Strongly favors:
- To repeal tax cuts for the wealthy
- For illegal aliens to earn citizenship
- Granting driver's licenses for illegal aliens
- Sex ed for Kindergarten children (!)
- Allowing illegal aliens to participate in social security
- Voted against banning partial birth abortions
- Voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions
- Voted no on a $40 billion bill in reduced federal overall spending
No you can see why he was the most liberal Senator in 2007!

McDole will not be the next President.
No, the country has shifted to the left in terms of public opinion on issues.... even a BUSH adviser has acknowledged this.
McCain won't be able to run on the issues of low taxes, protect America, outlaw abortion, etc etc That's not just where the country is. That's why America put Democrats in control of the House and Senate in 2006(though they havent delivered on what the people wanted). Add to that the fact that most Republicans don't even like McCain that much and aren't that excited about his candidacy while the Democrats are very excited about theirs. Mr. McCain: “I haven’t thought about it. Before I give you an answer, let me think about. Let me think about it a little bit because I never got a question about it before. I don’t know if I would use taxpayers’ money for it.”
Q: “What about grants for sex education in the United States? Should they include instructions about using contraceptives? Or should it be Bush’s policy, which is just abstinence?”
Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “Ahhh. I think I support the president’s policy.”
Q: “So no contraception, no counseling on contraception. Just abstinence. Do you think contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV?”
Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “You’ve stumped me.”
Q: “I mean, I think you’d probably agree it probably does help stop it?”
Mr. McCain: (Laughs) “Are we on the Straight Talk express? I’m not informed enough on it. Let me find out. You know, I’m sure I’ve taken a position on it on the past. I have to find out what my position was. Brian, would you find out what my position is on contraception – I’m sure I’m opposed to government spending on it, I’m sure I support the president’s policies on it.”
Q: “But you would agree that condoms do stop the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Would you say: ‘No, we’re not going to distribute them,’ knowing that?”
Mr. McCain: (Twelve-second pause) “Get me Coburn’s thing, ask Weaver to get me Coburn’s paper that he just gave me in the last couple of days. I’ve never gotten into these issues before.”

Do you want to bet money on whether Democrats keep control of Congress and possibly expand it even??????????? If I could I definitely would.
Independents, once they see how far right McCain is, and that he pretty much embraces everything Bush stand for, will not vote for McCain, who doesn't know what a condom does.

Um...it has nothing to do with bigotry, it has to do with the truth. If Obama was the white male, you would probably not support him as strongly. Yes, I'm only supporting him because hes half black. It has nothing to do with the fact that I agree with his healthcare plan, the fact that he is pro-choice, the fact that he is an inspirational speaker and what I believe, will be an inspirational leader, his wanting to bring troops out of Iraq, his tax policies, the fact that I don't want a right winger on the Supreme Court. Yup, it's all because he's half black.
Yes, it does have to do with bigotry. Your side playing the race card will not do you and your party any favors in November and will probably taint your party in the future, after it loses Congress and the WH. Your saying that the people who support him only do so because he's half black sounds very bigoted, and saying he wouldn't be where he were if he were a white male is very bigoted. He's where he is because people like his message. Maybe he wouldn't be where he is if he were a white male, he would have the election locked up if he had the same qualities and were a white male. Since when did being half african american help people in politics? How many black (or female for the matter) Presidents have we had? If I were supporting Hillary, would you say I'm only supporting her because she's a woman? Maybe you're only supporting McCain because he's a white male.
But McDole is not going to win. Someone who does not know what a condom does, and gets stumped by a question about whether condoms help prevent STD's will not win the election this year. Someone who has no plan for healthcare will not win this election. Someone who has no real plan for the economy will not win this election. Someone who plans on continuing almost everything that Bush has put into place will not win this election, sorry. Someone who insinuates he wants to put on judges to the Supreme Court who may help overturn Roe v. Wade will not win this election. He's going to try and run a 9/11 election and it will fail because people want change and want someone with solutions to things that effect them, such as healthcare. Age is actually something to be concerned about if the person is old enough to where they couldn't run for a second term, or die in office.

Health care plan? Socialized medicine? Go ask Britian how their plan is working out. They are telling pregnant women to get mid-wives to deliver their babies because the system is going broke and is cutting back where ever they can.
Pro-choice is nothing but murdering an unborn child. You do know that he voted against bannign partial birth abortions. You know, when the baby is close to being born and they shove a rod into the brain and suck it all out. What a great gut. Glad you support a murderer.

You're the one who started with the personal insults calling Brian Damage stupid. Don't start crying the victim card when you are the one who started it.
Hitler was an inspirational speaker and look what that got the world. Once again, you like style over substance.
He can bring the troops home all he wants but when that country falls to Iran and all the terrorists what's he going to do then? Blame it on Bush? Maybe he'll call Hilary and ask what to do.
Tax policies? You like having your taxes raised?
I am gald that you did admit it was he was half black though. At least you're honest.:p
I called his ideas stupid, someone said something about the way I'm posed or something, which I dont know what they meant, but it sounded like an insult, and for some reason theyre debating whether its me in my avatar...wtf. Idgi, whatever lol.
Yes, lets set back women 100 years by telling them what they can and cannot do with their own bodies, for the sake of a blob of fetus cells..

You did not call his ideas stupid. You called him stupid. Sounds a little like Obama trying to decided if he heard his preacher or not.

Enough with the drama. If you honestly believe that stopping abortions is going to set women back 100 years then you have no faith in the strength of women. Because of that, all women are going to be made to stay home and cook and clean like in the old days?  That blob of cells is what you became. But you know what? I think I like your idea. It's the liberals who are for abortion so let them have at it. Less liberals to deal with.:p

Actually it's scary how unsafe the right wing would have women be, getting illegal abortions, such as those the "liberal, left wing" woman in your icon had many times.

Marilyn Monroe never had illegal abortions most people who know anything about her know those were false rumors put to rest with the release of her autopsy results. She had a miscarriage and one termination due to an ectopic pregnancy.

give me evidence please. You do know that there would not be records of this, and if she went to a doctor who knew what he was doing, she wouldn't have necessarily had complications inside her body, right?
Also, for all the talk about big, bad "liberals" the woman in your icon was very politically liberal and loved politics. She would probably believe in gay marriage since she did have a number of sexual relationships with women also.

How about you give us some proof of Marilyn being a liberal. She was a JKF junky and he was anything but liberal. If he were aliive today he would be considered a moderate republican. He understood the need for tax cut to get the economy going.
It's interesting how you seem to know how people will be. First you knew how McCain would govern during HIS administration and now you apparently can contact the dead and tell us how Marilyn feels about current issues.

No comment on how, by your view, womenhood will be set back 100 years by stopping abortions? Or was that all for show.
How about instead of getting illegal abortions you start taking responsiblity for your actions. Use protection! For case of rape or saftey of the mother then abortions sghould be allowed.

Evidence is in the autopsy reports as well Coroner Thomas Noguchi's notes so you will have to obtain your own copies of that for your evidence (and no the clippings online are not even close to the actual report). I have to ask though; What evidence do YOU have (and don't go with the "a friend of hers said she had abortions" etc.) that she did? She desperately wanted to have babies so why would she have aborted them? In her own words; "What good is it being Marilyn Monroe? Why can't I just be an ordinary woman? A woman who can have a family ... I'd settle for just one baby. My own baby.”
Not to mention the fact that she suffered from severe endometriosis which can make pregnancy almost impossible (back in those days anyway).
Also, for all the talk about big, bad "liberals" the woman in your icon was very politically liberal and loved politics. She would probably believe in gay marriage since she did have a number of sexual relationships with women also.
What evidence do you have that she slept with women? You're going on rumors. The only time I've ever read that Marilyn slept with a woman was when another celeb wrote that she did (example; Joan Crawford). Not really fair since the woman was murdered long ago and has no way of telling the true story. Maybe she did or maybe she didn't...that's something no one will ever know.

Did you not hear that the LA Times uncovered Marilyn Monroe talking to her psychiatrist, and talking about how she had sex with Joan Crawford, and Joan Crawford asked her again, but did not want to have sex with her again because she didn't enjoy having sex with women that much. Seems to insinuate that she had sex other women before. When asked about homosexuality, she's quoted as saying "All sex is good sex as long as there's love involved."
What evidence do you have that she DIDN'T have abortions? Many women who have had abortions want children! The idea that a woman who wants children could never have had an abortion is ridiculous. Marilyn was a feminist so I don't understand why it would be that surprising. I don't believe she had dozens like some rumors have circulated, but I do believe she did have at least one abortion in Mexico.
She was also very political and she leaned very much to the left. Everyone who knows anything about her knows that she was a very intelligent person, though she wasn't allowed to play one in movies because she was often typecast a certain way. She read many books on everything from psychology (Freud) and Communism and Marxism. Everyone who was close with her talked about how political she was and she was very liberal, politically.

It has been written about extensively. If you have proof that everything written about her and her getting an abortion in Mexico and the abortion earlier in her career were wrong, I think you should let me know. She was definitely the terrible "far left, liberal" that you seem to despise though.

Well, you can choose to believe what you want :). To me it seems there is more evidence that she had had an abortion than not.
I did not know her personally but everyone, all her close personal friends, have described her as having very far left political leanings. Its been talked about everywhere from 60 Minutes to Bill O'reilly's show.

The economy was going into a recession when Bush took office.
However, due in part to his two tax cuts, we had 6 years of a booming economy, including 52 consecutive months of job growth.
Most likely the current slowing of the economy would happen whether Bush was President or not.

The fact is American's are sick of the Republican's. Bush has ruined the Republican for a long time to come. That why the house has been taken over by the Democrats.
Republican's are loseing their seat to the Democrats. No one trust the Republican anymore. and the presidental seat will also be taken over by a Democrat, Obama will have to clean up Bush's mess. It alway's take a Democrat to clean up after a Republican's.

In some instances, the Democrat in Congress who beat the Republicans in the 2006 election were more Republican than the Republicans were!
No one trust the Republican anymore.
Many people don't trust either party.

Don't be so sure. A lot can happen between now and November.
Obama will have to clean up Bush's mess.
It's more likely that Obama will make his own messes!
