I loved the short-lived comedy/sci-fi/western series The Adventures of
Brisco County, Jr.. Any other fans out there? I thought it deserved
more than one season. It was a good combination of the tongue-in-cheek Maverick, the futuristic elements of Wild, Wild West, and a cool
homage to the old-time movie matinee serials of the '30s and '40s. And
Bruce Campbell was excellent in the title role. Vastly underrated series (in
my opinion). It should have gotten more promotion, and support, from the network. But I guess by the 1990s, they figured no one was interested in
westerns anymore.
